Online Chat with an Expert

Date: Wednesday, April 11, 2007Time: 8:00pm – 9:00pmTopic: “Buddy Ball: Are You Ready for Some Baseball?”Guest Expert: Marsha HaganMarsha Hagan, our guest expert, works closely with a community program called “Buddy Ball” in Statesboro. This program allows children with disabilities the opportunity to play baseball once a year. The community is very much involved in this program and Georgia Southern University sends their baseball/softball players to help out. The Buddy Ball program is sponsored by United Way and Parent to Parent of Georgia and has been going strong for nine years. Please join us as Marsha talks about this great program and how you can get your child into the game of life in your community. Marsha Hagan is a mother of four. Her daughter, Kalyn was diagnosed with GM1 (Gangliosidosis) around her first birthday and lived to 21 months. Because of Kalyn, Marsha became involved with Parent to Parent of Georgia as a Supporting Parent and is currently Regional Coordinator at our Southeast Georgia Satellite office.
