heat rash from DOC Band

I'm hoping those with heat rash experience can help me.

Adele woke up with a pink area on her forehead about ~1"x3" in size, just over her eyes. The area feels warm to the touch and sort of leathery. The area lightened with the band off (~1) hour, but every time I put the band back on it comes back. The tech at CT told me (over the phone) just to put hydrocortisone cream on it and put the band back on. But it still comes back.

This doesn't seem right to keep putting the band back on if she's having an unresolved rash. Did anyone have a similar problem? What did you do?

Also, I thought having Adele's hair (which is smooth & straight) between the band and her skin would help, but the tech at CT said to pull her hair away because it might be making her hotter. It seems to me that hair would be more comfortable next to her irritated skin then the band foam. Anyone have experience with this?

Thanks.

,

did develop a heat rash right after getting the band- we applied

cortaid as advised and put the band back on when it dried a little, with the

rash still there. It was on the back of his head, and it was more like spots

of redness. I think they say the hair will irritate it or aggravate it

because it makes it hotter, and the wet hair will also cause a heat rash.

The forehead would concern me more because it is just skin on foam.
