Guest guest
Autism Lord grant me strength today, my life feels like a shamble; Our child is autistic and here is but a sample. Our little one can't tie his shoes or say his name out loud; His expressions change from sunny to rain like a dark and stormy cloud. Our money only goes so far, each and every week; Keeping our head above water, trying not to feel meek. Treatments, vitamins, special food and injections; Day after day to " keep up " , going by all the directions. Trudging down a lonely road that is filled with " good intenders " ; Makes us upset that people like that don't read about autism & it's offenders. Everything in the life of a child with autism can be " no, no, no " ; But autistic parents know that the word " YES! " can put our heart aglow! But Lord, we try to never forget who is really in control; And ask that you keep us out of a dark and dismal hole. Keep us focused on doing are best and being positive to each other; The sacrifice you made with your son, Jesus, links us as sisters & brothers. Autism is but a small hurdle for parents to overcome; Our Lord, Our Savior gave us our salvation through his " one & only son " . Guest guest
That is a beautiful poem. I am going to post it on my refridgerator so that I can read it everyday. I know that I am not in this alone. > > Autism > > Lord grant me strength today, my life feels like a shamble; > Our child is autistic and here is but a sample. > > Our little one can't tie his shoes or say his name out loud; > His expressions change from sunny to rain like a dark and stormy > cloud. > > Our money only goes so far, each and every week; > Keeping our head above water, trying not to feel meek. > > Treatments, vitamins, special food and injections; > Day after day to " keep up " , going by all the directions. > > Trudging down a lonely road that is filled with " good intenders " ; > Makes us upset that people like that don't read about autism & it's > offenders. > > Everything in the life of a child with autism can be " no, no, no " ; > But autistic parents know that the word " YES!
