I need information on implementing a yeast-free diet for my grandson, Pierce.

He is three years old. He is seeing Dr. Rao in Plano, who has recommended this.

He is also on a sugar-free diet and dairy-free diet.

Any suggestions for websites and books would be so helpful to us. We would also

appreciate any commercially prepared food ideas for snacks, etc. Sources for

purchasing yeast-free type foods would also be helpful. His parents live in the

-Plano area.

He will eat very few foods at this point. His favorite food is a Chick-Filet

child's meal with 6 chicken nuggets. He will not eat any other brand of chicken

nuggets at this time. He likes strawberries, apple and orange juice, Cheerios,

Wheat Chex, Newman's children's cookies, potato chips, and a very few other

things. I realize that several things on this list will have to go.

We are in somewhat of a quandry at this point, and will appreciate any

suggestions. This list is such a great resource and support.

Warmest Regards,

Donna, " mamaw " of Pierce

P.S. Our dear child is intelligent, has a great sense of humor, loves us, loves

the outdoors, and loves to play with us (riding his grand-dad's back, playing

catch with a large ball, etc.).

He says very few words, athough since last fall he has been attending private

speech therapy twice a week and a morning small group class at Dallas Therapy

twice a week. He will probably attend Plano ISD preschool classes for children

with symptoms of autism this fall. They have had him on the Behavioral

Innovations waiting list, but since his family does not want the full day

program, Behavioral Innovations will probably not take him.
