OT: looking for a good food mixer

Hi,

This is really OT, so hope it's ok to post here.

I'm looking for recommendations for a really good food mixer that will blend up

nuts and other things to smooth pastes/liquids.

I know there is the Vitamix that alot of people use in the US, but is there

something similar in Europe?

Would appreciate any recommendations if you have a machine that you're really

happy with for whipping up all sorts of GFCF treats. I'm currently using an old

Magimix, which when I tried to make ice cream from soaked almonds left a fairly

gritty mix.

Any ideas anyone?
