Guest guest
I share your concerns. I checked their (medicaid) website today, and they had a link to a list of those excluded from having to choose a plan. According to this list, if your child is eligible for SSI, you do NOT have to choose a plan, and your services will continue as they have been. Worth looking at...here is the website, click on exclusions, it is a pdf file. Members can visit the Georgia Healthy Families Web site at www.gahealthyfamilies.com or call 888-423-6765 to speak to a representative who can give them information about the CMOs and the health care providers. -------------- Original message -------------- From: "alyssa179" <alyssa179@...> I HAVE READ SEVERAL THINGS THAT CONCERN ME. I'VE READ THAT SOME PEOPLEARE WORRIED ABOUT THE FIRST OF NEXT MONTH AND ALL THESE CHANGES TOTHEIR CHILDS MEDICAID. ACCORDING TO MEDICAID THERE WILL BE NO CHANGES.THAT THE CHANGES HAPPENING WILL BE FOR KIDS THAT AREN'T SPECIAL NEEDS.I WAS TOLD BY MY DAUGHTER'S DOCTORS OFFICE THAT I WOULD HAVE TO PICK APLAN AND THAT SOME OF THESE PLANS WOULD NEED AUTHORIZATION. SO I CALLEDMEDICAID AND THEY SAID AS MY DAUGHTER IS DISABLED THIS IS NOT SO. JUSTWANTED YOU ALL TO KNOW.ANNE
