Guest guest
Hi Star, Sorry it's taken me so long to answer but for some reason Mail has been putting your posts & Glendas in my Bulk folder. From now on I'm going to have to check bulk instead of just emptying the folder without looking. Oh well, now on to your question ... Yes, you are not alone in insomnia. I don't know about anybody else but I keep dozing off in front of the tv & waking up an hour or two later not really rested but unable to sleep any more. It's really weird cause I was never able to sleep if there was any sound or light in mu bedroom, now it seems I can sleep anywhere but only for an hour or two. The doctors aren't giving me anything for it. They don't want to add anything to the cocktail of drugs I'm already on plus I find mosst doctors don't want to prescribe sedatives to former drug addicts. I did learn self-hypnosis a few years back & it helps. There's a book that was recommended to me by my sleep specialist, No More Sleepless Nights - check your local library, it helped a lot. Hugs, SuZie & Sir SpYke the cuddle kitty - I help her sleep by purring in her ear & giving her cat massagesStar Cook <whomeinnc@...> wrote: Hello everyone, I'm having a hard time sleeping these days. I am not depressed, I just need some sleep, two to four hours is not enough. Guest guest
Hi sielick, sorry, but I can't rememember your name...you know....sorry....... I am guilty of the tylenol pm syndrome too... I wiegh 240lbs and take three a night. I normally don't take them til 3:00am , when realize I'm not going to sleep, and eat them, and in about two hours I drift off, till sometimes 10:oo am!! I think it takes so long because my liver is functioning slower, with anything it has to process. Thats really good, sleep time for me!! But, the downside... the wanting to take a nap around 6:00pm and the process starts over...again. Tylenol PM is not good for our livers, and I know you know that... Aspirin is not good either, as it thins the blood, reducing clotting capability, and thats not good for us bleeders. I found this out when I was going in for surgery on my teeth, and had to reschedule because the dentist would'nt work on me, cause I would bleed too much. I have asked for sleep aids, but my doctor is big time against them.
