Guest guest
Hey Delta, The Day Before Pop Passed Away I Seen My New Hep Dr. He Was Ok. I Was Not Crazy About Him But I Can Work With Him. He Seems To At Least Be Very Knowledgable Of Hep Ins And Outs. He Said What I Said, My Weight Is Killing Me And Also Would Make Tx Unlikely To Work Since The Dosing Is Regulated On A Weight Scale. So I Went Forward With My Plans To See A Bariatric Surgeon. On The 21st I Have A Meeting To Attend That Is Mandatory Before Seeing The Dr. So That Is In The Works. The Boys Are Now In Therapy. That Was Already Scheduled But First Time Was Day After Pop Died. The Boys Had Dentist Appt Last Week Too. My Dog Goes To The Groomer Monday. Mitch And I Both Have An Appt On Tuesday To See A New Primary Care Dr. I Am Having Severe Pain In My Right Knee And My Left Hip. Its Getting To Where I Can't Hardly Walk At All. And In Sept We Both Go Get Our Eyes Checked. Whew Too Busy For Me. Oh On Aug 14th School Starts. So We Are Getting All That Stuff Together. Love Ya. Guest guest
D no bx scheduled or recent labs and results ????? Honey the more obese a person proportioned to so called normal height - age and weight the less chances for tx to work with many complications and for some and their medical cases not recommended the high risks do not outweigh the possible advantages. I'm confused do you have a referral for a weight loss clinic or seeing a bariatric surgeon for possible surgery procedures ???? Even less drastic surgeries like the stomach bands could be a very risky procedure for someone with a liver disease possibly life threatening in late stages. At this point what are your Dr's considering your major primary Dx for care and tx - which Dx needs the immediate attention first ???? Have you had full recent lab panels drawn ???? I am glad the kids health and teeth are being taken care of I'm worried about you. Love and Hugs. Deb
Guest guest
I like the way he thinks! De Re: Ms. D how are you Gail Hey Sweetie. The Hep Dr Loves The Idea Of Gastric Bypass. He Has Even Asked Me To Ask The Surgeon To Get A Liver Bx During Surg. Two Things At Once.
Guest guest
Deb, I dont have a copy of my labs yet. But the hep dr said my labs were good. No liver functing levels elevated it all looked good. He said my weight is the primary dx at this time. I have a refferal from the hep dr to the bariactric. After I meet with the bariactric dr I will know more. But for this moment my weight is more a concern than the hep. A bx is planned to be dealt with when I speak to the weight Dr. Deb <posttransplant@...> wrote: D no bx scheduled or recent labs and results ????? Guest guest
Hey D doing pretty good, hubby not so good, his hep came back after T, now he is doing the shots all over again, but different now, he has to have a shot every day now, he's been on the new shots for about 2 weeks, its a stronger dosage I had Roux-en-Y gastric bypass (RNY) open, I chose not to have laproscopy cause I had heard of to many complications, there are several of us at work that have had RNY and only 2 have had complications, one can't stop losing weight, she is down to 134 lbs, had surgery just over 3 yrs ago, had to have surgery because of a tumor that was in her stomich that had come back the other one had laproscopy and it almost killed her I've had no complications other than the standard kind, like being able to eat something one day, and not the next, and problems with overstuffing and having it come back up, a good web page for surgery is http://www.obesityhelp.com it gives very good information, and has a wonderful forum from thousands that are looking into, and have had surgery, it includes every type of surgery for weight loss, and has several doctors from different states too Bonnie Hey I Was Wonderin Where You Went.
