Guest guest
Hello All, Tomorrow I see the man I call Dr Idiot. I'll be telling him that I've changed my mind & I will go for the T P assessment. I KNOW he's going to believe he's talked me into it & I hate the idea that he'll think he has any influence over me when it's you guys who convinced me. I really don't like this man!! The appt's for 3 so I should be home by 4 & I'll let you know what happens from here. Wish me Luck, SuZie Next time I'm coming back as a cat
Guest guest
Hey De, Just got home from his office. He was saying that there was nothing more he could do for me - tx would probably make it worse & I never did respond anyways when I interrupted him to tell him that I had reconsidered because of you guys & was now ready to go for the assessment. He wants me to see my G I (I've got an appointment Thursday) whom he says has good connections in Toronto. Dr O'Hara will set things in motion. He lowered my dosage of Lactulose, Thank the heavens He's setting me up for an ultrasound & more bloodwork - alphafetalprotein & magnesium. I got copies of my most recent tests & they don't look good - bilirubin is up for the first time - 33 norm up to 22, AST -226, GGT -231, alk phos -230, Ammonia -95 (it's down to 82 March 31) & the platelets are low at 91.. So life goes on. We'll see what happens on Thursday. Guest guest
Good luck tomorrow with the GI. Do you have another appt with Dr. Idiot or is the GI taking over now? Guest guest
I have another appt with the Idiot in June. I think he wants the G I to take over but the first time I saw him (the G I) he said Idiot knew more about HCV than anyone else in town. Guest guest
Sorry ladies,I've been in a fog. The G I appointment is Friday not Thursday. I had it in my appointment book as Friday but my brain kept saying Thursday. Go figure. Dr Idiot did have ONE good idea - he suggested I cut my nails so I don't hurt myself scratching. I like my nails, they're long & strong & I don't want to trim them. The itchies are back. Guest guest
Hey Boo, The thing is I love my nails. A manicurist told me that she had a bunch of customers who'd kill for nails like mine. She also said if everybody had nails like mine she'd be out of business. My Mum hates them, she says they look like claws. My family doctor gave me some antihistamines the last time I got the itchies. I've got a few left & I'm gonna ask the G I for some more tomorrow - they work!
