They always seem to get their act together when they

play the Red Sox, though! Certain teams match up well

against others, and the Blue Jays have pretty much had

our number the last couple of years. They have a good

addition in Molina. I enjoyed watching him last year

with the Angels. He should really help the Blue Jays.

:-)

I think we blew our one and only chance to win a game

in this series last night. We have DiNardo pitching

today and he is an inexperienced pitcher [and I notice

the Jays already have 4 runs] and I think we have

Clement going for us tomorrow and he does not pitch

well against Jay's batters.

So it looks like the Blue Jays may have themselves a

sweep when it is all said and done. Oh well! Hopefully

we can whoop Baltimore again, but I have a feeling

that they won't be as easy to beat next time!

*enjoying the Red Sox being in first place for as long

as it lasts*

Take care,

Gail :-)

I haven't been following baseball much for the last few years. The Virginia end of the family's team was the Baltimore Orioles, but they haven't been worth anything since Cal Ripken retired.

I have no idea what a Red Sox is - so I just gotta ask - what is it?

I haven't read this thread, so I'll take a wild

guess and say they mean the Boston Red Sox,

a professional baseball team.

They are baseball teams. Baseball season is a great summer season.

Every year, the Toronto Blue Jays start off well and every year the

end badly. When they play well, they play exceptionally well. When

the play poorly, it's like watching the Keystone Cops of the silent

movie era.

Yep! The Boston Red Sox, aka the BoSox. I love

baseball.

Take care,

Gail :-)

Maybe this year will be different! Maybe they will be

able to run the marathon and not just the sprint. We

Red Sox fans had to endure years of close, but no

cigar seasons [as well as taunts from Yankee fans]

before we finally won it all in 2004 [after 86 years].

The AL East looks strong this year. It should be

interesting as all the teams in our division battle it

out!

Take care,

Gail :-)

Well, at least we managed to take one of three from those tenacious

Jays. :)

Whether the Jays win is immaterial. It's always great to see a game

well played and with sportsmanship. Way to go, Sox! :-D
