Okay , but I have to say that it sure wasn't ME that complained. I have been quiet on the subject, and don't want the other side, (?) or any side getting the wrong idea.... I remain, as always, firmly believing in "to each their own".. I do, though, also well understand as the owner of a List, it is necessary to run a tight ship. .I shut up again now.. MRI upcoming on the 26th, is it okay to ask for a few prayers? In fact it was me that spoke to Janet about this. It's my opinion that it is very irresponsible for our group to be seen to condone the use of an illegal drug as part of any treatment of any disease.

The fact is, pot is illegal (almost everywhere) and for the owners and moderators to be seen to be supporting the use of an illegal drug just doesn't sit well with me. I am not saying that each of us is in fact doing that but to allow the sharing of 'recipes' is a form of condoning it's use.

How do you think it would look if word got around (as it does very quickly in cyberspace) that Hep C Central had this "excellent pot brownie recipe"?? Wouldn't look too great for our reputation of being the biggest, best and most responsible group in cyberspace eh?

We the moderators and the owners go out of our way to responsibly inform the members that we are not medical professionals and to seek advice from your Doctor. To me, the use of pot is no different. Seek out advice from your PCP or Specialist and do not recommend it's use to others without having them OK it with their doctor first.

anne,

You said it very nicely, I too thought that it was a

bad reflection of what the group list stood for. I

also agree that if some have found it to be beneficial

that is good too, however, keep it to private email. I

think if this is done, everyone will be happy.

This is a terrific group and we wouldn't want to

tarnish it's reputation.

Just my 2 cents worth.

I thought the topic was off limits? Or is that just for those that agree with discussing using cannabis to assist with Hep C and not for those that do not? I thought the group list stood for helping those with Hep C to find out about what can help with the symptoms of the disease and the symptoms caused by treatment. Don't get me wrong, I do not disrespect Janet's choice and I do not even ingest cannabis. I guess I am just an old style died in the wool free speecher, old enough to remember when it was a right in this country. At any rate, I will no longer post on the subject of cannabis, per your instructions, Janet. Thanks Janet,

This group means the world to me and I would really hate it if our hard earned good reputation was sullied in anyway.

I will in the future try to remember (amonia head here, lol) not to post any research on pot and its effect on the liver . That should help reduce that kind of talk ..xoxo

Marijuana talk

It has come to my attention that several of the members of the group are uncomfortable with the talk being freely spoke about marijuana and its use on the board.

Since it is a illegal substance in much of the US and many countries, I do not advocate nor use it.

My choice.

But it is some concern even that we are discussing this in a open forum.

So I would like to ask if you want to continue to discuss this please take this to private email.

Thank you very much for considering others and their feelings.

Thanks again,
