This post of Ilah's sort of drowned in the general commotion a few days ago, so I'm reposting it here. I suspect most of us would very much like the things on this list?

Ilah, can I quote this list on my site, and perhaps in 's forum too?

Would anyone like to add more quality-of-life items to the list?

Re: Unity Seeds in Autism Advocacies, Quality of Life

No seems to be picking up this point which seems very worthy of discussion to me.For me quality of life would include the following:

*freedom to be myself (no one forcing/pressuring me to conform or be normal)

*freedom from bullying and harassment

*people who accept me for who I am

*the ablity to compensate for my problems

*sufficent time and money to enjoy my "special interests"

*having my sensitivities respected

*being able to do things my own way

*being able to get ask for help and receive it without being put down for not being able to do things or having difficulty doing things

*having people accept it when I say that I can't do something or have difficulty with doing somethings (instead of falsely being called lazy, uncooperative, etc.)Ilah>> --------------------------------------------------------------------> So, "quality of life" is what it is to be based on?> > Inger> --------------------------------------------------------------------> > : Ok so let's try and be educational to the observers here and get more folks involved in the conversation.> > What is quality of life to you when concerning A.S.D's and moderate to higher functioning individuals absent of M.R?> > Everyone is welcome to partake in this discussion.> > > > > > Aspie Owned, Aspie Operated.> AspergersHosting.com> > A.S.W.C Autism Advocacy & Exchange> http://www.aspergershosting.com/ASWC> > ---------------------------------> Travel> Find great deals to the top 10 hottest destinations!>FAM Secret Society is a community based on respect, friendship, support and acceptance.
