Have Tom or I been nasty (on THIS thread)? We are just trying to discussion

civil here.

Most of the heated feelings seem to have arisen over a linguistic

misunderstanding. Aren't those more or less sorted out now?

Who moderates the moderators

I can see things getting a bit heated on many sides now and getting a

bit nasty too - including moderators.

FAM Secret Society is a community based on respect, friendship, support and

acceptance. Everyone is valued.

Check the Links section for more FAM forums.

;-)

Perhaps we should ask ASC for assistance? :-)

I've been nasty with you.

You've been nasty with me.

Raven's been nasty with Lwaxy.

You and Raven have been nasty with each other.

Even though Raven is not a moderator on this forum, she is a

moderator on other FAM forums. Therefore all three of us have been

nasty.

Tom:

Yes. (Though not on THIS thread.) ;-)

> Raven's been nasty with Lwaxy.

Yes, and Lwaxy was nasty with Raven.

> You and Raven have been nasty with each other.

No, we have not. Raven has not been nasty to me, ever. And I sincerely hope

she didn't take my attempt at intervention when the discussion was getting

into insults, as anything more than that. Possibly, I should not have

'raised my voice' at Raven but I thought she had seen my first warning. She

explained that she had not yet seen it so that was understandable then.

Unfortunate misses in timing.

OK, you've convinced me. (Except that Raven wasn't 'nasty' with anyone but

Lwaxy.)

I've not caught up with all the posts yet, but the one's where you

were telling each other to use your brains - I think capitals were

involved :-)

Capitals imply shouting - shouting implies emotion - usually anger or

frustration - frustration close to anger anyway.

Just giving an opinion :-)

Well I'm slowly catching up and unfortunately witnessed worst posts -

but live and let live :-)

Hope you're all playing nicely again by the time I finally catch up

;-)

Just skipped ahead to view and reply to this post.

Usually. They can also be used to emphasize certain words. That is one of the problems with this mode of communication: it is hard to show emphasis on the words you want, which in speaking helps one to make their point.

While capitals MAY indicate anger when others use them, I usually operate without any emotion whatsoever, except in very exceptional cases.

Only ONE time in these last weeks have I actually gotten angry, and that was when I said Tom sounded like GWB and asked him to go to a warmer place. :-))

Otherwise I do not feel anything in particular, not even when I am personally attacked.

I especially do not have anything against Raven, the whole thing was a misunderstanding and mistiming.

Thanks for explaining, .

(And sorry again for 'raising my voice', even if it wasn't at you.)
