Guest guest
A steroid, aren't those suppose to be avoided with Hep C? I know they can really mess with the immune system.. Guest guest
If you are on treatment then steroids are contraindicated because of the risk of infections . Guest guest
Prior to getting diagnosed w/HCV,I went to the doc for the very same thing.(a rash on my face) At first we thought it was from eating to much fish. But then I was diagnosed and it was determined that my immune system was comprimised due to not sleeping well and not feeling well. I was instucted to get plenty of rest, take some over the counter benadryl for a few days and to apply a topical cream to the rash areas. Guest guest
yes that stuff works,, its not as fast as some of the chemicals the doc gives but its MUCH safer,,, and it works!Sheena <mom4possums2002@...> wrote: My husband used pure tree tea oil on a toenail fungus (toenails turning white), pretty potent stuff.. Guest guest
well use the cortisone cream very sparingly,, cortisone IS an immune suppressant.. I would NEVER take it orally but Im not sure about using it topically,, I'd ask my doc but only IF you believe that your doc knows his stuff,, some docs that are treating dont know crap about this disease!Nikki Cowan <nikkicowan@...> wrote: I had a problem with a face rash and used tea tree oil on it. Guest guest
I'd been complaining about rashes for some time, Doc never caught it until I changed clinics and changed my primary doctor.. Now wish there were also more choices of GI's... Not many choices with an HMO..
