Guest guest
I'm in a rush this morning and only have time to address this issue. It would seem that people are taking offence to how my people see races, which is different than how Europeans and Americans differentiate between the races. Our differentiation is not intended to be disrespectful. There were different coloured clays from which to fashion men and women. This is how men and women were made different colouirs. Nowhere in our stories do we hear that one clay was superior in quality over another. If we all come from the earth, how can identifying one colour clay from another be disrespectful? Is it any different than identifying one plant from another? Is it any different than saying elk is elk and deer is deer and antelope is antelope and yet seeing their similarities as well? Because the beauty of these stories is being misunderstood by some and those people are finding these stories hurtful to them, I will stop posting stories about man. :-( Raven

Guest guest
Dare I say that the one thing you all haven't learned is that many of the " stories " she shares are held sacred to her culture. Have we treated them with the same reverence and respect that Christians afford the Bible or Jews the Torah? I believe she will share if she feels that the stories will be respected by you all, even if they are not believed. Otherwise, she will more likely than not keep them to herself. And it would be disrespectful to try and prod her for more stories. Ask yes. Prod, no. She will share if she wishes. Raven and all, please consider my " please " as asking, not as prodding. Guest guest
I wasn't aware that anyone took offense to your excellent stories. I for one, liked them. ravenmagic2003 <ravenmagic2003@...> wrote: I'm in a rush this morning and only have time to address this issue. It would seem that people are taking offence to how my people see races, which is different than how Europeans and Americans differentiate between the races.
