Well, after almost 2 months of no or very few bad thoughts, it appears that it

may be back for Ben, he's 7. I just heard him do his mumble thing " me shooting

you with a gun, I mean blaster, but I don't mean that " . I'm trying so hard not

to cry. Things were going so well. I tried to talk about it with him, but he

doesn't want to talk this time. He says he is trying to ignore it. Crap, I don't

want this to happen again. I feel like I've been punched in the stomach. My poor

boy. I'm trying not to over react but, mentally, I'm preparing for battle again.

Well, off to call the therapist, as soon as I have my cry. Thanks for listening.

I can tell my sons OCD is slowly starting to come back, what is that? Why?

Is it more stress in his life? Its driving me crazy trying to figure this

out.

I'm so sorry! We had 9 whole months of ZERO symptoms with my 11 yr. old

on Prozac last year. I really thought we had found just the right med.

Then she went through a couple of rough months again last spring. Upped

the Prozac and added Zyprexa. We are in the process of weaning off the

Zyprexa and she's doing great and the thoughts are gone again. But, I

remember last spring when she first started saying, " I think I'm going

to throw up. " again. I also felt like I'd been punched. I guess we can

never let down our guard! He'll get better again!

Oh, I am so sorry, but it may not be a severe bout this time. You and he know

and understand a whole lot more now and this may be just a temporary setback in

how well he has been doing. I think everyone on this board's heart breaks right

along with you, but don't expect the worst because it may not come to that at

all.

yes, he said " great, this is going to take another 6 months to go away. " I told

him that it wasn't because this time we know what to do. He said " oh, yeah! " So

far, it was an isolated incident, but we are mentally preparing for another

round. Thanks everyone. He has been acting odd lately, taking naps, cranky,

tired and over emotional. He even said he was depressed, which is new. I though

he might have picked up a bug or something. He just learned the word depressed

from a movie. Who knows, but as dh said, get your game face on.

We are going through the same thing, isn't that weird? My son had a horrible

summer, he fears weather and other things and we stayed indoors for 3 - 4

months. Then he did wonderful, back to his old self. Just this last week he

is getting cranky, having melt downs, over hyper at times, demanding, had a

bad rage, etc. Very strange. I am trying to just stop and hug him at times,

get him to talk when he is upset, etc. Not sure what else to do. Try and

take as much stress off him as possible.

Good luck!
