Name:

General Location: Iowa

Pid Pumpkin: Caelan

Age: 6 1/2

Diagnosis: IgG def, subclass def, antigen proliferation defect, pneumo

antibody def.

How long diagnosed: March 2001

On treatment: don't know right now. We've been doign antibiotics, just went

through new testing. He's been off IVIG for a few years

Additional Health Concerns: asthma, severe food allergies, EE, GERD

Caelan has been doing really well the past few years with hardly any illness

and staying at home mostly. Due to his food allergies the preschools wouldn't

take him. He started KG this year and everything went to heck. We are awaiting

a new round of full testing (prelim was low IgG, high IgM) and will formulate a

plan based on that. We have pulled him out of KG until the severe illnesses

pass.

>Name - Karin Hart

General Location- Perkasie, Pa.

Pid Pumkin - Hart

Age - 14 (15 on the first of May)

Diagnosis- IGA immune Def., Asthma

How long diagnosed?- Since he was 15 months old.

On treatment- As far as we know there is none. Antibiotics for

bacterial infections. Fluids when he gets dehydrated etc.

I am a lurker. Not that I want to be it just that life has thrown me

and my family some bumps in the road. My computer blew so I can

only get on once in a while from work. My oldest daughter has also

been diagnosed Bi-polar, and depressed. This can really make things

diffucult. The highs and lows this kid goes through is

incrediable!! Now shes into heavy drugs and things are getting

worse. Add a PId to the mix with all these virsus and such going

around and life can get next to impossible sometimes. Only by the

grace of God am I still here. So please excuse the lurking. I will

try to stay in touch more often now that I have a parttime job and a

computer to use. If there is anyone in my general area, please let

me know. Thanks.

Karin Hart.
