Love it! Ben Steen knows well how many children’s lives the Shriners have improved. They are a true example of what medicine should be.HRH From: infantile scoliosis treatment [mailto:infantile scoliosis treatment ] On Behalf Of hallmark13Sent: Friday, May 13, 2011 1:41 PMinfantile scoliosis treatment Subject: God's Most Precious Gift I wanted to share a beautiful poem with you all that was written by one of our local Shriners. We had the opportunity of presenting Jonas' story at a statewide (Oklahoma) Shriners meeting last Friday night. We were there to share with them what wonderful things their hospitals are doing (b/c SLC is so far away only a handful of the men had ever been to that particular hospital) and how thankful we are to them. This week one of them mailed us a beautiful copy of a poem they had written.... " God's Most Precious Gift " God's most precious giftis that of a childthey extend our familythey are meek and mild.We cherish the things, our children learn to do, they bring us happiness, and we brag on them too.But what about a child, that is crippled or burned, the hardships for the family, and the things they must learn. They are lost in a world. With no end in sight,no money for doctors,no tunnel of light. That's where we as Shriners, have stepped up to that plate,we offer our services, to change a child's fate. We've learned many things, from our years in the Shrine, helping the children, and giving our time.God's most wonderous gift,he gave with a gentle smileto live in our hearts, was his own precious child.-Written by Ben Steen-Hollie LeeMama of Jonas 2.5 years old in cast #6. 25.7* down from 73*
