Guest guest
Hi all, I wanted to share our latest developments as we are seeing something VERY similar to what some of you here are reporting on antivirals. Three weeks ago we started a product called Inflammation Control, by Vitamin Research Product. It is a blend of two chinese herbs, with reported great anti-inflammtory (and neuroprotective) properties. I found a lot and read up a lot on both of those herbs, but very little is know about their potential antiviral properties à one of them is suspected to have PROTECTIVE effect against EFFECTS of herpes virus, but that is about it. They have not been used as antivirals in traditional chinese medicine, more for arthritis and other inflammatory conditions. Anyway, what we saw was this: few days after starting we had runny nose, cough at night, then RASH that lasted a day (ezcema-like, covering the shoulders and torso, then spreading over the belly and lower back), then we had a fever that lasted about three days. This was a low-grade fever, but turned high on day three, we gave ibuprofen and it disappeared. We also saw more irritability during the first couple of weeks, more defiance, less energy, but some great language and cognitive gains. We have now completed week three of this new supplement, two of those have been on full dose. We also had a ÔtrialÕ week at the beginning of May. We have been on LDN since late February with very good results, but since adding Inflammation Control it is as if the good effects of LDN suddenly accelerated, we are seeing the same gains but a lot ÔamplifiedÕ! I donÕt know if this new supplement is doing antything in the antiviral department (and I strongly suspect it is, at least in the immunomodulating way) but whatever it is we are VERY PLEASED with the results!!! This is what I posted on another list re most recent developments (we just had five very good days IN A ROW) but this morning: Ds was happily chirping away while I was putting his brand new pair of shoes on his feet. No reaction. Nothing. Not even a jerk of the knee. (this used to be a wrestling match with me ending up in bruises and bitemarks and him crying and refusing to walk). We then went shopping and he was good as gold and very interested in his surroundings. I took all the time in the world , long queues etc didn't even have to bribe him with food. Then he got hungry for real, was munching on his biscuit when a girl his age approached him, said something and smiled. He smiled back and offered his biscuit!! Maintained eye contact all the time. She then said 'by', he repeated, still looking at her. Proper, wide-eyed, normal, friendly eye contact. Also, in the last few days we have lowered his LDN from 4 lines to 3 lines (full dose would be five lines but he gets very irritable if we go over four), and yesterday we reintroduced Candex at full dose, no intro - my thinking was that if this supplement did have antiviral properties, we better protect against yeast... Pleased we did. Possible herpes-protective properties of one of the herbs: http://www.uveitis.org/medical/lab/tetrandr.html more on the product: http://vrp.com/det/1525.asp?c=1150730933468 & k=/vrpsearch.asp & m=/includes\ /vrp.css & p=no & s=0 note that there is also an ÔadvancedÕ version of this, with more ingredients. We have been using the simple one. I have loads of abstract and articles on the herbs, can email if anyone is interested (email me on neno @ dalmaholidays. co. uk no spaces) HTH Natasa
