Guest guest
Who has info on Indian Fire Tree Bark? What is the active constituent? Whatever is in it is purportedly toxic to yeast - is it toxic to humans? Did your DAN give you any information on this? Do you have a botanical name? The only information I can find on this is that it is an old Cherokee remedy. Has anyone analyzed this oddball herb? Are there long term effects and how would one know? I am intrigued but skeptical. > > Difulcan is an RX right? My DAN will only recommend naturals. He doesn't even want me to do the Valtrex. I have the Valtrex because I have it for me. He is giving Fire Tree Bark and Probotics for 's yeast issues, along with a Yeast homeopath. I think Fire Tree Bark is pretty strong, so I may go back to that. I will ask again about Difulcan tomorrow when I see him, but I doubt he'll go along... >
Guest guest
www.pathwaysmed.com is my DAN who swears by Fire Tree Bark. In fact Betsy (Dr. Hicks wife) is on Autism One radio with Stan today... They say Fire Tree Bark is safer than RX anti-fungals and just as effective, if not moreso. I asked him for an RX for Diflucan instead yesterday, and he said that Diflucan is effective but can leave traces of yeast in the kidneys and liver (I think-don't quote me on organs), and the child will always have a yeast problem. He says it pushes the yeast into the tissues, and doesn't fix the problem. Don't mean to cause any controversy, as I know Diflucan is anti-fungal of choice on this site. Just relaying the info on Fire Tree Bark, and why we are using it as our anti-fungal.stocker1216 <stocker1216@...> wrote: Who has info on Indian Fire Tree Bark? What is the active constituent? Guest guest
If you have some links or literature we can look at, please post it. Also ordering information on what type you suggest. I'm always interested in different approaches to fungus. I've not yet found a natural that works well while using Valtrex.... which is a hint to what is really going on if you ask me.... but I'm continuing to be open minded. It's interesting how the literature points to OLE as a great yeast fighter, but we see fungal flares (in our community) with it as well. There is something about this particular disorder that when you give an antiviral we see a moderate to severe fungal flare shortly after. The answers to this question are, in my opinion, a key to understanding the origins to autism in some folks. Today we know the process works for some, but tomorrow I'm confident we'll better understand why and it will change how we look at autism, for at least a portion of our community. - Stan > > > > Difulcan is an RX right? Guest guest
Kersten Would you happen to have any weblinks for the product? Where do you order this from? I assume this is different from pine tree bark i.e., pycnogenol? Thanks Gayatri > > > > Difulcan is an RX right? My DAN will only recommend naturals. He > doesn't even want me to do the Valtrex. Guest guest
This link exhibits the reason for my hesitation. I am not skeptical about this product because it is natural. The only reference that can be produced is a company that sells it in a bag that looks like it was packaged on someone's kitchen table (and they spelled Ozark incorrectly). I ordered some of this bark from Pathways and it came in a plastic can with a simple label and instructions on a snippet of paper (with a portion of them crossed out?..). I used the information on the container to do some research. The only references I could find to this product were places selling it and those places have only sketchy details. No research, no data, no botanical information, nothing. So I have this stuff and would like to use it but feel like I can't because I have no credible information on it other than reports that it does seem to work. Can anyone produce any information concerning the safety or toxicity of this bark tea? Or does anyone know the real name of this plant? > > Gayatri-or anyone else interested- > > http://www.clearwaterherbs.com/ > > Great products! Guest guest
Talk to Betsy, Dr. Hicks, or Melody at Pathway's, and they will be able to tell you more about safety and effectiveness. I just trusted Dr. Hicks, and it is working for us. If you don't end up using it, you could ship it our way=we'll make use of it! also bathes in it, as it kills external yeast as well. I don't know any more other than it works for my child, and I have been told by Dr. Hicks it is safer than any RX anti-fungals...stocker1216 <stocker1216@...> wrote: This link exhibits the reason for my hesitation.
