Guest guest
You went to a restaurant for lunch with members of our family. I was talking about the fact that I thought that my son was AS and tried to explain to them that a lot of his traits of character fit the description. I should have never engaged in that kind of discussion. I was told that I could not talk about something without having a ''legal'' diagnosis from a professional and until then, I should just ''shut'' my mouth. And anyway, if he was, what do I expect people to do about it,that people do not have to do anything, he still have to behave,etc....If he has bad manners, don't want to work,etc... he will have to comply to the rules of society and it will not change anything. Oh well, it did not go smoothly with me. I said that I did not have to be a professional to know that my kid fit the description, that so far I knew more on the subject than some doctors and medical professionals and that it was important to me to tell others,so they can understand my son better. Another person told me that it was pure .... that he was just being lazy, that it was an excuse to behave differently,etc... My husband told me that I should not talk about it,because I knew that people won't understand and believe anything... Oh well, I just neede to vent )) Lolo
