I choose this route for myself, as it i quick and relatively painless (for me at least). The hair removed will come back in smooth and finer than before, and your skin will be soft. No stubble. If you think it may be too painful, try sticking a piece of duct tape to your skin and pulling it off quickly. Pretty much the same. I use Nair 15 second microwave wax, and have had excellent results. Best of luck to you in your venture! >> Duct tape!!!! Ouch. LOL. I think I will try the waxing. I just want to do it the best way I can for my week 4 pics on the 14th. I would hate to have bumps all over my body or red rash. So the wax is made by Nair. How much would I need if I were to wax my body? Also, will it matter if I shave/wax my lower arms? What is it that I am looking for? What makes the best pic for EAS? Guest guest
Waxing will probably be your best choice then. I have never had any rash or bumps, but you may want to do a test strip a few days to week before just to make sure. The amount would depend on how much body hair you have. I am portuguese and indian, so I do tend to have more hair than most women (LOL), but one tub of the wax goes a long way. Just remember to get a VERY thin layer...too much and the results are not as good. If you have problems with the pain, have someone else pull the strips off. Anyone can help you. Much easier too. LOL I personally wax my lower arms all of the time since I was blessed with very thick dark hair on my arms. With my current tan...it really looks great! I used to do quite a bit of weightlifting before (when I was younger), but just started the EAS. Anytime you do pics, try and have a tan (real or fake) and do the hair removal. This will emphasize more of your structure and make it much more noticeable. One of the reasons they suggest it. Your pose will do that too. Best of luck to you , I hope this helps some. <snip> Duct tape!!!! Ouch. LOL. I think I will try the waxing. I just want to do it the best way I can for my week 4 pics on the 14th. Guest guest
Going to watch someone else doing it may help, but it is relatively easy. Just remember to keep the layer of wax as thin as possible, and to hold the skin taunt as you pull in the opposite direction of the hair growth. It may be bit painful the first time or two, but then it gets relatively easy. Much easier than tatoos or giving birth! LOL Both of which I have experienced...waxing is a cinch! Best of luck, glad I could help. _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. Guest guest
Thank you very much. I have a good idea as to how to start this. It was suggested to go to a salon for my first time and watch how they do it. is going to come with me and watch too, as she will be the one helping me do this when I do it on my own. I mean I know that, or I should say, I heard that if one were to wax, that the hair will grow back but it will be finer and softer true? The thing is that I like the hair on my body, even though I look so hard without it now, but I also do not want to shave my body every so often. I mean I hate the feel of the stubble. I would like to wax my body for the pics, but I also want the hair back. However, I do not want the hair back thicker or more of it. There is only one place I do not like hair and that is on my back. I had very little, but once I started to shave it with a razor, it comes back with revenge. So bottom line it for me..... I should get the Nair microwave wax right? Put it on very thin, and pull the skin tight and pull it in the same direction as the hair is growing right? Sorry to be a pain, but this seems to be a big deal for me to do, and if I am going to do it the best posable way, then I want to do it right. THANK YOU!!!!! =) PJ " Once I was a prisoner Lost in myself With the world surrounding me Wandering through the misery, But now I AM FREE..... Guest guest
, Great morning to you! Definately use the 15 second Nair Wax, that is the best I have found. I have tried plenty too! Yes, put the wax on very thin in the direction of the hair growth. Place the strip on top of the wax and rub it on real good (same direction that hair is growing), then you want to hold the skin taunt and pull the strip as quickly as possible in the opposite direction of the hair growth. If you lived closer, I would come over and teach your girlfriend the tricks of the trade, but that is a bit hard from here! LOL You both will find that it is relatively simple. When I was still married, my husband would do my legs for me in the back, there really is nothing to it. You hair will grow back, usually in about a month. It grows back finer and softer than before, since it is ripped out at the root. One of the reasons I love it so much. Using the razor method will cause your hair to grow back thicker and much more sharper (so to speak) as it grows from the point where it was cut at skins surface. That is why it looks so much thicker. Really no problem for the questions. It is good to get as much information as possible before just trying something new. If I can help out in any other way, just let me know! It is a bit awkward just starting, but after a time or two, you will get it down to a science. LOL Have a wonderful day! <snip> I should get the Nair microwave wax right? Put it on very thin, and pull the skin tight and pull it in the same direction as the hair is growing right?
