Kristi,

and I found a way around the leftover food problem. We go to a

resturant, she orders something, and I eat part of her dinner. Tonight we

had broasted chicken (1/2 the bird), broasted potatoes, corn, corn biskets,

and split pea soup. It was more than I would have tried to eat before

surgery, and I ate a LOT. Tonight I had the soup, the chicken breast, and

a few of the potatoes. had the rest. We both walked away full and

for the price of one meal.

We did the same thing Monday night, spagetti for two with meatballs. What

we didn't eat we took home and had for supper last night AND lunch earlier

today.

The only thing I'm afraid of trying just yet is a fast food hamburger.

Don't know how that will settle with the stomach (the bread) and with the

gout (the burger.) One of these days, when I don't have to work the next

day, we'll have to hit 's or Carl's or someplace like that. I do need

to find out how my system will react to the fast food places since we have

a teenager coming to stay with us for the next school year. :-) You just

know she's going to want to do the pizza and Micky D's route.

The only thing I've really had problems with so far are whey based protein

products and peanut/peanut butter products.

Ahhhh Jerry,

It will happen sooner than you think, you are doing so good.

If you have an In and Out burger place go ask for a protein

buger.I haven't tried one,but everyone says they are great,

everything on the hamburger except breat , it is wraped in a

lettuce leaf...Gotta be good as Jo has tried them..lol

God's blessing to you and your family

I had a double double from In & Out today - I was able to eat the meat,

cheese, tomato and bottom of the bun. I was full but it was good.

My weight loss has been down a little this month. We have NO kitchen (since

6/21/03) right now. We ripped it all out and started from scratch. As a

result we have been eating different. Quite a lot of take out/fast food. I am

soooo sick of fast food. I can't wait to have a kitchen again. 2 more weeks!!!
