Almost always, yes... there are some cases where the south side can be

used - ie, to slow down the growth of a fast growing cancer tumor (and

conversely the use of the north side is contraindicated because it can

speed the growth)...

I'm interested in learning more about Kulish's version though,

apparently using two different magnets (one north facing and one south

facing) on opposite sides of a part of the body...

Check out Lee Crock therapy, in which the whole body is affected by both poles,

which are periodically reversed while one is sleeping.

During my due diligence I gravitated to this science over static magnetic sleep

pads. Some might choose both.

all good,

Hi Carol,

Yes, " most " of the time the north side is placed against the skin. But it is a

bit more complicated than that because (according biomagscience theory) the body

has positive and negative meridians. For example, the back of the right leg is

negative and the front is positive. The meridians are reversed for the left leg

where the back is positive and the front is negative. You always place the

magnet polarity on a corresponding meridian. For example, if your pain is in

your right knee, you would need to place the negative side on the back of that

leg, opposite the front of knee. The same is true of the arms. The trunk and

head, however, are negative both front and back.

The positive meridians (and therefore positive magnets) are sometimes used in

conjunction with the negative - usually for only the first 10 days in order to

intensify the effect. The example of hip pain: first 10 days would be negative

toward skin on back hip and positive on front of hip. After 10 days you remove

the positive and only use the negative on the back of hip. You are NEVER to use

the negative on a positive meridian or visa versa - as it goes against the

body's natural current-flow. Hope this helps.

Best,

Dee

Hi Dee,

This is very interesting! So what happens when you use both positive and

negative magnets at the same time in the same spot? The reason I ask is because

I've been wearing a magnetic necklace for about 10 years now, for TMJ, and it

has helped immensely. I experiment every so often by taking it off for a couple

weeks, but the pain comes back, so I put the necklace back on and the pain goes

away. (My dentist told me this was all in my head - first he told me the TMJ

was all in my head, then when I told him my necklace was working he said that

was all in my head.)

So should I be using just the positive side of a magnet, and how would I keep it

positioned on my jaw? And how big does the magnet have to be so as not to get

the wrong pole too close?

Hi Carol,

Actually, one positive magnet is combined with 2 negative magnets (3 " apart) for

back and sciatica pain for the first 10 days. These are Dr. Kulish's magnets

(and instructions), btw. Personally, I would think that if you have been getting

relief from your necklace for 10 years I would stick with it no matter what

anyone says! And of course the TMJ is in your head - isn't that where your jaw

resides? :-)

Seriously though, are you sure your necklace is constructed with both negative

and positive magnets? I'm not really familiar with necklaces, but the ads for

the Nikken necklaces seem to mention only negative ions.

Best,

Dee

And just while we're on this magnet topic - does anyone know much about

induction cooktops? The theory is great - they are efficient, and heat only

the cooking vessel, rather than the surface and you have great control - but as

they are are using magnetic fields I was wondering if it could be detrimental to

the food in the pots, changing the nutrients as microwaves do, or to the

person's health that is standing nearby stirring etc.

Anyone looked into them in depth?

Dee - hahaha, yes, pretty funny - my jaw is in my head! But isn't that

ridiculous - why do some doctors/dentists/etc. dismiss your complaint with " It's

all in your head. "

The links on my necklace stick to each other, so I think that means they are

both negative and positive - is that right?

They say that when they don't have an easy answer and want to spend as little

time as possible dealing with it so they can go on to the next patient. Do you

ever watch a program called Mystery Diagnosis? It's quite eye opening. People

will go to the doctor with the most alarming symptoms and the doctor will

dismiss it as something very minor and send them home with a pill for the

" something minor " . Then on and on it goes for months and months as the condition

deteriorates to the point where the person can no longer function. Finally (at

least in the cases shown) a doctor is located who is willing to give more than 5

minutes to figuring out the cause. Now, admittedly, some of the cases involve

pretty rare conditions, but there are also those that are not all that rare and

a more thorough investigation and a bit of research on the dr.'s part could have

prevented a lot of suffering. End of rant :-)

Yes. How many links are there like that?

I've never seen that program - sounds interesting!

My necklace has 10 links that are magnetic - The links are about 1/2 " long, and

every other link is magnetic.

Well that certainly sounds like your necklace is alternating negative and

positive Carol, so they obviously CAN be used together - at least around the

neck. It does seem a bit similar to the biomagscience recommendation for back &

sciatica pain, though fewer positive magnets are used for that. However, since

it has worked so well for you I certainly wouldn't give it another thought. Just

keep wearing it as needed! I'm a firm believer in 'whatever works' :-). Do you

remember who makes yours?

Mine is from a company called Nikken. You can google it and find somebody in

your area that sells them. I think there are many companies who make them, so

I'm not saying Nikken is the best, just that their necklace helped for my

problem. They're expensive. I've seen (but not tried) others that are cheaper,

so I'm not sure if they would work as good. I've been told it depends on the

" gauss " level. Not even sure what that means. My necklace has 1000 gauss.

Thanks Carol. I'll check it out. Though I don't have neck or jaw pain, I know

someone who does.

Even though most of the people here have a problem with Nikken because they are

an mlm. I have several of their products and they work well. I love my

necklace! My husband banged his thumb with a hammer and my first thought was to

grab a magnet and put on it. It didn't turn purple and it took the pain away.

I've done that with cooking burns as well. I didn't try to get people to work

under me or really push the stuff, I mainly became a seller to get my own

magnets at a good price. They were reasonable and I still have them all and

still use them so it was worthwhile for me. In fact I found one of the magnets

they used for " roll outs " at a Goodwill recently and knew right away what it was

(I had always wanted one but they were pricey). It feels great when my back is

really bad.

That is great that you're achieving all this with magnets!

I experience similar results with Reiki.

I use Reiki on everything! Cuts, burns, aches, discomfort, fatigue.

Used in meetings ( done discreetly) it brings calmness and harmony.

Our flowers last much longer - I Reiki the flowers and the water I give

them

As long as it works, it's all good!

Blessings to all,

Nick
