Guest guest
Dear Barbara, Ayurveda is India's ancient medical treatment procedure. The medicines are mostly made from natural stuff like herbs and other medicinal plants and also certain oil massage treatments, which have no side effects. As I told you, it is only for the last 7 months, I'm into ayurvedic treatment. The pain has subsided considerably and I really hope that I won't take those awful pain killers again. As for the details reg. ayurveda, I feel you may get a lot of info. on the web. More than the physical pain, we all undergo a lot of psychological pain, like depression, stress etc. As far as I'm concerned, I don't let the pain get the better of me. I still go to work and do other normal household duties and try to remain as cheerful as possible. That way, we don't let our family also to feel depressed. So Barbara, Clara and Ginny, please feel cheerful and wishing you all a GOOD DAY. Bye, Cheers Hamsa
Guest guest
Hi Hamsa, Thank you for the information. I also do not let the pain get the better of me. Sometimes I wish I wasn't such an optomist & that I could just sit & wallow in my own self-pity for just a little bit. But alas that is not me. So I put that smile on each & every day & make sure everyone around me is happy. I think that that is why noone seems to think there is anything wrong with me, so if I mention that I am in pain they give me the look like what do you mean, you look fine! So most of the time I just suffer in silence, that is why I am so grateful to my on-line friends. Thank you all for just letting me get things off my chest sometimes. Sorry to go on & on. I hope each of you has a pain free day! God Bless you all! Guest guest
Hi Barbara! I DO understand what you mean!!! I am a “I don’t need help, I can do it myself” person. And I find myself being humbled into asking for help such as with “bathroom” stuff. It is quite an experience to have your 2 year old granddaughter help you “go potty”!!! I too don’t always tell people when I am in pain – mainly because it is 24/7 but I try to look on the bright side. There ARE things I CAN still do so I just do the best I can. This disease has given me a paradigm shift in looking at people and NOT judging – or at least TRYING not to judge. I realize that everyone’s pain is hard for them to bear. Perhaps it is not to the same degree as mine but that doesn’t diminish theirs or mine. It just means it is different. My husband has a hard time with this. He has osteoarthritis and degenerative disk disease but when I console him when he is hurting he always says that he has no right to complain because mine is so much worse than his. I tell him that it is all relative and that his pain is still pain!!! My mother can’t understand why I don’t just “buck up” and go on. My father has had RA and understands. It didn’t take me long to realize that I really do not care what other people think of me because I don’t have the energy to waste on whether they approve of my actions or not. THAT has given me such freedom!!! I am not saying that it’s ok to act like a jerk but if someone can’t understand that some days I need to take 2 or 3 naps – well – THAT is THEIR problem!!!! Anyway, I just wanted to encourage you Barbara!!! Do what is best for you!!!!! Take care of yourself and your joints!!!!!!!! Love, Carla
