I wanted to update people on the story fundraiser Russ and I (mostly Russ) have

been working on. For those of you who are new I will fill you in on the

project.

We are working on writing & illustrating a children's story that will be sold to

raise money and awareness for Progressive Infantile Scoliosis and it will also

hopefully be distributed to doctors offices to help educate medical

professionals and parents about this condition and increase early diagnosis and

treatment. The book will also hopefully be used to introduce families with

newly diagnosed children to the condition in a gentle and manageable way. The

story is written in such a way that it will act as a metaphor for casting to

help children better understand the process.

Russ wrote the story and we are working with a wonderful woman, from Sweden who

has started to illustrate it. The book is about 1/3 of the way done. It will

be done for sure by the end of summer, however if things keep up at this pace we

will be looking at sometime around End of May/Beginning of June! Then we will

need to ship it out to be printed, but we are getting there!

We are very excited at how it is coming together and can not wait to see the

final product all published and put together!

Here is a link to our family website where I have more information on the book

and the illustrations and text for the entire story. http://bit.ly/9OiLCc

Let us know what you think.
