Guest guest
First of all, I want to put it out front that, as our dd had a fairly late onset, I have no idea the craziness and heartache most of you have been through as you see your young infants get so ill. It sounds truly horrifying. That said, I also see that tonsillectomies are a pretty popular choice among many here on the forum, and I had some questions for those who decided to go that route. From what I've read, tosillectomies are only successful in alleviating cycles about 30% of the time. Given the harsh recovery from the surgery and the small odds of its effectiveness, what made you choose it? It seems like such a radical thing to do. I have not had a chance to talk with other parents of kids about this before, only our specialist, so it's an honest question. I promise. My other question is, did it work? What improvements has it made for your child? Thank you so much for your input. The more I know, the better.
