How is this completely OT?

I guess it's not. It's not specific to EOH/ Autism/ or Mercury.

Sometimes people get pissed off about anything that appears to rip

on their political party.

I found it interesting and I thought others might as well.

ROFL... SAD, but funny... funny in a very very very sad way.

I am starting to think Bush is a serial killer and this is how he does

it --by picking a fight with Iran.

--ok, well to make this slightly more on topic...

My autie son is obsessed with Buchanan. So much so I am starting to

believe he was either J. Buchanan in a past life --or a very good friend of

him in a past life ;)

Come to look the guy up to find out he was from PA, and there is this whole

" ode to buch " over where the guy was from, so I believe that I will be

taking Gavin there sometime this summer to FEED his autie obessions!

--but I must never let him read this article, it could break his heart.

No, it is not completely off-topic, but it can get that way if we

forget our bi-partisan format here, forgetting that this is not a

forum for getting Democrats or Republicans elected. It is about

getting politicians, no matter their political stripe, behind the

interests of our children or helping them get out of office. Let us

also not forget that the orgy of Bush bashing going on is part and

parcel of the upcoming partisan elections. We can take advantage of

this if we don't lose our focus: the interests of our children.

Having said that, I will offer that Bush and the Republican leadership

are the most eggregious pack of political whores to come into power

for some time, just looking at their sellout of the public on health

issues and the environment alone. I will happy to see this bunch out

of power. There is little out there, however, to make me think that

whoever replaces them will do that much better for our kids, Democrats

or Republicans.

We have our work cut out for ourselves right now:

public health reform, not tort reform. Bush, Frist and company will be

pushing for more lawsuit protections for the their medical industry

sponsors in the first week of May.

The civil courts are about the final protection between the public and

pharmofascism. Putting caps on lawsuits is tantamount to preemptive

government confiscation of assets without renumeration and is a

unconsitutional infringment on the separate powers of the courts as well.

Very disappointing they didn't mentioned thimerosal and vaccine liability protection added in the dead of the night...She said with a http://tinyurl.com/pd8z8

http://www.evidenceofharm.com/release.htm In November 2002, Kirby was researching alternative autism treatments on spec for a women's magazine when he came across the Thimerosal theory. He thought it was interesting, but a little far-fetched. One week later, the House of Representatives passed the Homeland Security Act, which included a secret and scandalous rider immunizing Eli Lilly and Co. from liability for any damage caused by Thimerosal in vaccines. The journalist in Kirby knew that something was fishy here. If Thimerosal were harmless, as government and drug industry leaders insisted (while also moving to phase it out of pediatric vaccines), then why was the cloak-and-dagger provision inserted anonymously in the middle of the night?

http://tinyurl.com/kkwag In the middle of the night, Senator Bill Frist (R-TN) and key House and Senate leaders spearheaded a successful insertion of liability protection language into the DOD Appropriations bill despite vigorous protests from legislators on both sides of the aisle.

http://tinyurl.com/gjs5u But not only is this provision unrelated to defense appropriations spending, it was inserted after conferees had signed off on the report and will benefit foreign-owned corporations.

http://tinyurl.com/jrqaq Eli Lilly faces hundreds of civil lawsuits from parents who blame thimerosal for their autistic children. But the pharmaceutical giant has powerful friends in the White House and in Congress. The elder Bush sat on Lilly’s board of directors in the 1970s, and White House Budget Director Mitch s was a Lilly executive. Lilly CEO Sidney Taurel was named by President W. Bush to the Homeland Security Advisory Council. In November 2002, Congress passed a provision, tucked into a spending measure for homeland security, to indemnify Eli Lilly from lawsuits and require families to seek compensation through the federally funded Vaccine Injury Compensation Program. It was repealed in February 2003 after public outcry.

http://tinyurl.com/g3prr Attorneys for the Bush Administration asked a federal court on Monday to order that documents on hundreds of cases of autism allegedly caused by childhood vaccines be kept from the public.

http://tinyurl.com/anukl Critics say the Bush family and the administration have too many ties to Eli Lilly.

W. Bush's presidency appears headed for colossal historical disgrace.

Now, though, W. Bush is in serious contention for the title of worst ever.

The one noncorporate constituency to which Bush has consistently deferred is the Christian right,

both in his selections for the federal bench and in his implications that he bases his policies on premillennialist, prophetic Christian doctrine.

http://tinyurl.com/o6nve ($14.4 million for humanitarian aid distribution), http://tinyurl.com/m4sqz (a must read)

No previous president appears to have squandered the public's trust more than Bush has.

I tell ya what, after my ramblings in Nashville, I'm going to be

hitting the pavement with a lot of other moms to get our democrate

speaker ousted. But it has nothing to do with him being a democrat, it

has to do with him caring more about lining his pockets than serving

the public. I was just thinking, my great-great-something-grandfather

helped write our state Constitution. I know he wasn't thinking that he

wanted to see 97 house members in there to cater to one pig. It was

supposed to be about 97 people from across my state coming together

for the good of the state, to promote free thinking and ideas that

would better our society.

When you see me asking for stuff to oust our speaker, just remember,

I'd be just as likely to do it if it was the republican party.

Unfortunately, piggish greed knows no political bounds.
