So I guess now instead of being 'refrigerator mothers', this doctor

is suggesting we are all a bunch of drug users! Unbelievable!!!

" While acknowledging a worrisome increase in the number of children

with serious disorders, Rider noted that as many as 50 percent of

new mothers acknowledge using illegal drugs during their

pregnancies. Rider said she thinks it's far more plausible that

childhood disorders stem from that source. "

I'm glad another book is being written on the subject of vaccines &

autism though. Doctors like the one quoted above just make my blood

boil!

This paragraph makes me livid. I have a very hard time believing that 50% of new

mothers

are druggies. It's as absurd as the whole " refridgerator mom " theory.

> Rider said she has seen no conclusive evidence that thimerosal is harmful.

She said the

mercury is excreted from the body within seven days. Some experts distinguish

the ethyl

mercury used in thimerosal, from methyl mercury, which has a half-life of 50

days. They

liken the toxicity between the two to that of the alcohol in red wine and the

alcohol in

antifreeze, which can cause blindness. While acknowledging a worrisome

increase in the

number of children with serious disorders, Rider noted that as many as 50

percent of new

mothers acknowledge using illegal drugs during their pregnancies. Rider said she

It's worse than the neurologist in my town, who said to another

autism mom and myself the other day, " I know it's not mercury...but

it's something 'you girls' did during pregnancy...like drinking coke

or something like that... "

That is such crap.ย  Find the book on

amazon.com and trash it in reviews.ย  Stay calm, but give it a bad rating and it

will sell badly.

-Forgive my frankness.. when modern medicine screws up they have the

psych. come in with the dmsv -IV, when that fails... blame the

mother. I do not know how we survived, no prenatal vits, our mothers

smoked, had wine, and drank coffee. We are so amazing to survive all

those bad things! How unfortunate we are to have NOT been vaccinated

repeatedly.

What really ticks me off is they insult our intelligence expecting us

to believe this shit, while they are cashing in on thier stock

portfolio's loaded with big pharma.

Wishing you all the best,

Holly,

This anything-but-vaccines junk theory keeps popping up every once in a while. Spain and Holland have very liberal drug laws. There is a higher percentage of users there. Guess what? They also have very low autism rates. So much for that quack theory. If anything you could speculate that using dope prevents autism. You could, but I wouldn't. You know, we never had this much autism until cell phones, tatoos and Starbucks came along. Personally, I think it all started when women stopped wearing big hair styles and went big time for the boy teenager/homeless butch /fat anorexic look. That or feminisim, inline skates or rap music. Maybe it's when MicroSoft came on the scene. Shhhhh.. don't tell the CDC.

I might even be tempted to believe her, had I not done illegal drugs

for a good 8 years prior to my pregnancy. And, let me add, the dope

thing was only done I think 4 times. Based on that argument, my first

should have been most profound, only she's NT -- but wait, I did " do "

one drug during my conception, it was called a flu vaccine.

Thanks for the applause, ,

With all due humility, I also at times consider my writings to be

hilarious. But it's hard to tell, to get feedback from the email

media, if others find it that way. People tend to respond with email

more when you make them mad, than when you make them laugh. I need

humor to keep myself balanced and sane, so mostly I write funny stuff

to please myself. Fortunately, I rarely find myself boring or fail to

get my own jokes or stealth profanities (for example, I sometimes can

humorously refer to people's private parts without actually mentioning

them and without being risque -- see I just did, ha!).

I'll have more such writing in the next newsletter, if I don't publish

it here first.
