Funny -- and all of this time I thought it was a psychiatric condition. Why didn't anyone ever mention our kids are sick? One of my friends took her son's Doctor's Data test with the mercury line going off the chart (not ASD but had a severe tic) to her former pediatrician. He left the room and came back with a business card for a pediatric psychologist. As I have asked our friend about his use of that term, if

comorbidities are the cause of the dysfunctions by which our children

are being diagnosed, can we really call them comorbidities? My son

didn't get diagnosed on the basis of a genetic test; it was based on

clinical indications. If treating those comorbidities alleviates

those clinical indications, then I'll go on treating them and anyone

can call them what they want. As for me, if it waddles like a duck,

has feathers like a duck, and quacks like a duck ..., well you know.

Sounds like my kid. #2 was an extremely difficult phase which he

lived with for a year before we got rid of it. So maybe you could add

that eating dairy products causes intoxication (casomorphins). It's

kind of a pain in the ass because my kid can't grow up just eating

Wheaties with milk (like I did). Yeah then there's the phenols,

salicylates and oxalates issues. Sheesh. You have immune

disfunction, but more specifically there is invasion by pathogen

bacteria, and measles living in the intestine, can't forget that one.

Dear Wade,

The behaviors usually point to brain dysfunctions that require

individual treatments. There is no universal treatment for Autism. For

further information see my web site www.biocompresearch.org

It's a pigeon? In all seriousness, it's interesting to ask these

ND folks about their opinions on the stories (countless stories) of

children who are NOT treated for these comorbidities? How about the

doctors who ignore these comorbidities or brush off these

comorbidities as " just part of autism " . I did ask them just that a

few weeks back on one of their blogs. I asked a question about the

young boy in the UK whose mother was begging for help from doctors

because of his severe GI issues. According to the mother he was

shuffled about and not treated. What do the ND's say? They don't.

Dead silence. They don't want to talk about it. If they are so

concerned about the well-being of children with autism shouldn't

they be calling for the licenses of these doctors who ignore obvious

GI distress to be taken away? Maybe they could rally around that

cause. I may actually help them out there.

Just a sec here . Does the kid have to have all the symptoms,

or would two or three do?

Way cool - as long as asthma's on the list of must haves, the autism

rate just shot to what - 10%? Somebody ought to tell the folks in

charge that these kids don't have asthma - they have autism. That

no good allopathic quack got his 'a's mixed up - as usual.
