Guest guest
I live in one of the most funded counties in Texas ( County-Houston) and the max hours for anyone including vent users is 30 a week. Re: Spouses as PCAs I live in minnesota. The usual max is 14.5 hrs a day, but since I am on a bi-pap and cannot remove it myself should something happen, they consider it vent dependent and cover my overnight time as well. I think only vent dependent people can get 24 hr coverage. On 6/1/03 7:06 PM, " Alana R. Theriault " <alrt@...> wrote: > , > > It's good to hear how well your PA needs fit into your relationship. Guest guest
, The World Institute on Disability is a research and policy organization. They have a Research and Training Center on Personal Assistance Services (RRTC-PAS) and have many papers published on this issue. WID does work with advocates and policy analysts in other countries and they do have an international division. See: www.wid.org This is one model that is national, but it is underutilized in most states: The Beckett Waiver & Other Medicaid Waivers http://www.dhfs.state.wi.us/bdds/kbp.htm http://www.familyvoices.org/fs/ma-kbw.html Alana At 03:20 PM 6/2/03 +1000, you wrote: >Is there any info on the internet on the extended PCA provisions for people >who are vent dependent. >This doesnt exist in Australia but I would like to lobby for it. >Any info will be a great help. >Thanks > T
