Guest guest
, Great results!!! Both of your bf measurement styles showed a decrease, so you know you change that in the right direction. Have a greak " light " week, then it hit again! Barbara > > OK, I have nearly finished my 12 weeks --- officially ends this > Sunday. I will be taking a week 'off' after that. Guest guest
WOW!!! Fabulous results! Thanks for sharing, can't wait to hear how Challenge 2 goes for you. I'd looooove to be where you are right now. 19-17% bodyfat sounds so cool. Feel ready for your bikini? Congrats! Guest guest
Great job !!!! 12 weeks up on Sunday OK, I have nearly finished my 12 weeks --- officially ends this Sunday. I will be taking a week 'off' after that. This means, eating a bit closer to maintenance, maybe not as much HIIT (different cardio), and lighter weight full body circuits instead of BFL weights. So here are my results (keep in mind, bf is self-measured using a cheap 1-site accumeasure). Scale weight: 125 to 120 (lost 5 lbs) Bodyfat (1 site): 23.5% to 17% (6.5%) Fat lbs: 29 lbs to 20 lbs (lost 9 lbs fat!!) Lean mass: 96 lbs to 100 lbs (gained 4 lbs!!) Waist: 29 to 27 inches (lost 2 " ) Hips: 39 to 38 (lost 1 " ) Thigh: 23 to 22 (lost 1 " ) Naval: 30 to 28 (lost 2 " ) Tape measure bodyfat: 22.7% to 19% (4% lost) My goal was to drop to 117 lbs and get to 20% bodyfat. I've given up on the whole 'scale weight' focus now. I'm incredibly pleased with my bodyfat results! Even if I'm not measuring the actual number accurately, I know I made some significant improvements. I didnt take photos, but I see big changes: I can see my abs, quad muscles, delts, less cellulite on the back of my thighs. And my skirts that were tight in my butt are fitting now. And my thighs rub together less when I walk. lol I'm totally psyched! Just wanted to share. I've never been able to get below 20% bodyfat, so this is just INCREDIBLE!!!!!! Guest guest
Jami, thanks. The sorry thing is I don't feel bikini ready and I thought I would. That's why I'm planning on C2. I guess none of us are ever really satisfied, or maybe I just need to work through accepting my body type a bit more. This has been a struggle since I was a teen and my family taunted me about having a fat butt. That was when I weighed 110 lbs and had a normal metabolism. Go figure! I guess it is hard to get over the fact that I'll never be tall and slender (I'm 5'1 " and more stocky/muscular). I still need to work on changing my brain! lol 19-17% bodyfat sounds so > cool. Guest guest
There are many, many women (me included) who would be ecstatic about 17 - 19% body fat!! You are right. You probably never will be TALL and slender but you have accomplished something that most can't (or at least won't)! Give yourself a pat and be proud of yourself! You deserve it! Well done girl!! Guest guest
Great Job!! This really shows me that I am concentrating too much on the scale weight. Guest guest
I just started reading Dr. PHil's book about weight loss. He makes an excellent point in the first chapter - " if you are a postmenopausal woman and you have had three children, and what you want is to be super-skinny like you were at age twenty-three, the reality is that you need to aim for something else. " I am not saying we cannot set high goals. I'm saying we need to be realistic, or we're setting ourselves up for disappointment. Great job - . n At 04:01 PM 3/24/2006, you wrote: > > I guess it is hard to get over the fact that I'll never be tall >and > > slender (I'm 5'1 " and more stocky/muscular).
