Guest guest
Pardon me if this is way too long and I am rambling. I am NOT a writer nor do I pretend to be but just wanted to jot down my thoughts... OK, I am taking my photos first thing in the AM before I have to go fly for 3 days. , today I am supposed to keep sodium to 500mg. I am so looking forward to after the photos tomorrow because I think right after I am gonna eat a box of salt! LOL! That has been the hardest part of the past 5 days - lowering the sodium. I had to buy organic natural chicken breast at twice the cost to get it without any broth injected into. I never realized they did that! Even the " fresh " boneless breasts (Purdue, etc.) put that in it! Today will be tricky keeping sodium in check. I'm cooking steak for me and Bubba this afternoon (without salt added in mine). Heck, even veggies have a fair amount of sodium naturally. I am fighting the urge to chug water as well - the suggestion to limit water intake in the afternoon is pretty tough as well. Anyway, I sure hope it is worth it and you will actually be able to see a TINY bit of definition! I want to thank everyone for their comments. I was truly discouraged up until about 2-1/2 weeks ago. I BARELY lost anything on the scale, but my BF% really dropped! The fat in my butt, thighs & hips was so hard and compacted and now it is like jello. I am shocked I lost 4 " in my hips - I had to re-measure and do the math a few times before it set in. I'm still not a tiny person - 5'9 " and amazonian looking but I am seriously building muscle. I FEEL it under the fat and am starting to see " dents " in the fat where my muscle definition is starting to show through. That is SOOOOO cool! Now, ladies, this took TIME and EFFORT! From my own personal experience, you will continue to be disappointed by dwelling on your " failures " and making excuses. I promise you, if you keep doing what you are doing, you will continue to get what you've got. I met my goal of seeing muscle definition, however, I did not hit my goals of wearing a size 8 or bringing my BF% below 20%. HECK - I'll take the overall 13.16% DROP! I am starting another 12 week challenge this week. My goals the next 12 weeks are to: 1. Be in a size 8 pant (I've NEVER done that) 2. Drop BF% to between 15-17% 3. See a big increase in muscle definition 4. RELIGIOUSLY do my cardio! (The weigth training is the fun and easy part for me!) Nutrition is a HUGH piece of the pie. Also, ANYONE who has questions - is is the fitness goddess fountain of knowledge - she ROCKS!
