It's amazing how yoga can just loosen everything up. My hamstrings have been so tight, when I lean forwards it was almost to the aching point. Since I've done yoga the past 2 days my hamstrings are nice and lose again. That is something how your little one gets up that early lol You'd be in heaven if you knew what my little does. When I put her to bed, she stays in her bed until I come in and get her. You can hear her in there singing sometimes when she wakes up before I come in, but she never gets up. I never told her she couldn't get up and she's free to get up if she wants to, that's just how she's been since we've had her. I always get her up around 7 am so maybe she's just use to that. That is good that your little one will watch TV while you workout, mine does this too so I think we are both lucky in that way. A lot of people have their kids climbing all over them while they try to workout. ~~

I close 's door, but I have a baby monitor in her room and in our room. I have it set on a timer for it to come on every night at 9 pm and stay on until 7am. I feel more comfortable using it. Without it, I wouldn't be able to hear anything. She can easily get up and open her door, but she just never does. Guest guest
Hi Everyone, Felt like a little of this and that today so I did Yoga Fusion - Power w/ Teigh (who is in the YBB workouts - I think I may actually like this old one better!) I think Kathy did this one recently and it inspired me to pull it out again - a nice medley of dance, tai chi, Pilates and yoga. It is one where you feel relaxed, stretched, and worked out all at the same time. Gillian, who is also in the YBB workouts is a background exerciser in this one. I've been giving some thought to trading some of my YBBs - particularly the Live ones as i don't do them often. I'll think a bit more on that subject! DD was up at 5 this morning! Is that crazy or what? I'm pretty sure the time change has her messed up. She is good though and will watch a movie until I finish my workout. She is tired though from getting up so early and all my efforts to keep her up later at night to get her back on her pre-time change schedule haven't worked. Last night she went to bed at 6:30!! Oh well...I guess it'll work out! It isn't very relaxing to do yoga while you hear Clifford in the background. Hope everyone has a good day today! i'm not sure what I'm doing tomorrow - probably more yoga - I may even stick with that for Saturday's workout and then just resume the 90 Day Rotation on Monday with yoga every third day. My back is feeling much happier with all this yoga and my hamstrings are much looser - all in all I think I needed this recovery week. Take care!! Guest guest
I did do that workout the other day Donna - I like also like it better than my YBB workouts. I sold all of my YBB Lives because I just felt they were too easy and didn't accomplish anything. I am keeping my Basic and Advanced and I have thought about getting the Master Series from time to time. I will have to keep looking on Ya Ya's for them. I hear you about the kids getting messed up - both of mine are going to bed earlier too, but they still don't want to get up for school! --Kathy Calvin: I'm a genius, but I'm a misunderstood genius. Guest guest
Great workout. Your DD must be messed up with the time change. Try keeping her up 15 minutes later and adding to it until you have her back on schedule. I remember doing that with my girls when they were young. It may take a week or two, but it worked for us. Good to hear you enjoyed your recovery week. We probably all need to add one of these in every once in a while. Guest guest
That is a great idea, about the 15 min. adjustments, thanks Kerry! This has been the hardest transition for us, in years past she was fine - and even when we travelled in different time zones - maybe b/c she still napped? Anyway, that is a great idea. Before the change she was going to bed between 7:30 and 8:00, so i'll try to get her back to 7:30 slowly - I have about an hour to go! LOL! I'm sure it doesn't help that this week DH has been getting up at 5 for work, his " normal " time is 6:30 or 7 - so I'll be part of the problem is she hears him. Thanks!!! Guest guest
, That is great about staying in bed until you get her - did that in her crib - she would sing, also, I also left books and toys for her and that would keep her going a good long time - however, once she got into a real bed it was all over! LOL! I do admit, I babygate her bedroom door, only b/c I don't want her to get up in the night w/out my knowing it b/c our house is really dark and I don't want her to fall down the stairs - I don't think she would get up during the night, she never has, but I'd be afraid she might! My friend thinks I'm terrible for doing that - but she doesn't seem to mind it and when she gets up she just opens her door and calls me. Guest guest
I am jealous! My oldest boy was out of the crib at 10 months (he walked at 8 1/2 months) and kicked out the babygate at one year. He slept in our bed for several months because we were afraid he'd get into something bad. Our second loved the crib for 2 years and would come to our room (it's next to his) if he got up during the night. Neither one of them would leave me alone while I worked out though. They still like to bother me and they are now 13 1/2 and 10! --Kathy Calvin: I'm a genius, but I'm a misunderstood genius. Hobbes: What's misunderstood about you? Guest guest
I just did my workout with my 11 year old wrapped up in a blanket on my mats. She's home from school today with a bug, so she needs to be surgically removed from my side. I don't think they ever outgrow the desire to be with Mom when Mom has something else to do. Now when I want to go hang out with them at the mall or in the front yard where their friends can see, it is an entirely different story. LOL Tonya Re: Thursday- Yoga Fusion - Power I am jealous! I think it is the same bug I had yesterday so hopefully, she will feel better tomorrow like I did today. Tonya Re: Thursday- Yoga Fusion - Power I am jealous!
