Guest guest
Hi, just thought I would post that for the first time ever, we went to an appointment, the dr. said he knew what was wrong and offered a way to fix it!! A hand dr. in indiana finally (Gabi will be 4 in a couple of weeks) told us what was wrong with her hand. He said she is missing a tendon in her thenar emminence (sp) it is the fatty thing on yourhand under the thumb; the thumb joint is too loose; and the web is too small in between the thumb and pointer finger. So, he said he can take a tendon from her middle finger and put it in her thumb and tighten the loose joint and make her web bigger. We should do it before she goes to school full time. I was so satisfied when we left. It now makes sense, we knew something was not right with it, she had OT but we could quite tell what it was...Now i just need to get dh on board with the plan. He could not go with to the appt and is a control freak, so we will have to figure out a way for him to talk to the dr.
