So here we are preparing for our trip to SLC for

Owen's first cast next week and he gets a cold! And a

whopper at that. He already has airway troubles, so

any congestion (which we have quite a bit of) is

doublely bad. I am so worried that he won't kick it

before we are to leave for Shriners! And on top of

that, I started him back in his brace- he has been out

of it for 2 months- yikes!!- due to detethering

surgery and he now has a rash around the top of the

diaper line. WHY NOW? So I am keeping him out of his

brace to let his skin heal. I wonder how much more

damage could be done by keeping him out of it until

his cast? I hate not having him in it, it seems like

all the work we did and time he spent in it has been

erased. But our nsgn said to wait, so we wait.

I remember reading about a med given to someones child

to get over a cold, but I can't remember? At this

point I would be willing to try anything to get him

better. We are already in 'isolation' so hopefully he

won't be exposed to any new germs.

And to all the parents and kids going to SLC next

week- can't wait to meet you!

And I'm so happy to hear that Olivia is finally home,

Kylie is doing well with the halo- maybe we could

meet?- and Braydon is healing well. Sorry if I missed

someone, my mind is not exactly at an optimal

functioning level right now.

Thanks for reading my rambling!
