Guest guest
Hi there. I'm a new member and I thought I would introduce myself. My DH has fibromyalgia, cfs, arthritis, possible neck fracture, chronic headaches, ect ect. I bet many of you know the list better than I do! He's constantly tired and frustrated with traditional medicine. Last year he went through chelation therapy that seemed to really help the chronic bowel syndrome, and now is in need of more treatments which the insurance company will not help much with. Our youngest son (16) has not coped well with all of this and is terrified that the same will happen to him. He's depressed and under care with a good counselor. He's been cutting himself on his arms which is really scarey to see. Both he and my dh are depressed. Hopefully the new lamp we just purchased for " sads " seasonal affected disorder I think it is called, will help them both. I live between wanting to love and help those I love and feeling overwhelmed. I would love to talk to other family members who take on both roles of mom and dad for the family. My batteries are kind of running on empty right now and I really dont want to be in that position. And I hate being whiny when I have my health and two of my family members dont. Anyone out there know how I feel?
Guest guest
Hi Sally and welcome... I am saddened to hear of what your husband faces... I was also a cutter, I suffer from dissociative identity disorder, borderline personality disorder, bipolar disorder, post traumatic stress disorder and schizoid disorder.. I had 15 years of therapy to lean to cope and am very balanced now.. I take a mix of antipsychotics, 2 anti depressants and a mood stabilizer.. I suffer from fibromyaglia, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, shoulder impingements, bursitis, restless leg syndrome, protruding discs in back, loss of legs and loss of back... approx 35% loss of back and 25% loss of legs.. But back to being a cutter.. I cut for about 10 years, and have not cut for 5 years... I used to do it to ease the pain and let out the hurt.. I had a traumatic childhood and was raped and gang raped in my teens.. I am in no way saying this is the case with your son.. But you need to get help for him and soon... He needs to open up to a professional, and make sure you tell him you love him, and assure him he is loved... I dont have any kids, so I dont know much about motherhood.. I am unable to have children due to my problems so I have decided not to... I understand the feeling of being overwhelmed though.. Sending you healing hugs Hugs Heidi DUNGEON MIZTREZZ aka Heidiwww.geocities.com/heidijayesplace/http://blog.360./kookaburradezignsLook, Listen, but most of all Believe.+=<^^>=++=<^^>=++=<^^>=++=<^^>=+ I'm a new member Hi there.
