Guest guest
I have a friend whose father and brother have (SCA) spinocerebellar ataxia. She is not sure which type. It is a hereditary condition and although she and her son showno signs, she is concerned. She is 38 and her son is 17 and the type her father and brother have usually does not strike until the 40s. Right now the medical treatment plan is… “Too bad, there is no treatment for you. You just suffer a slow death.” Shewould like a chiropractic perspective. So far she has removed gluten, corn, dairy (cheats with some cheese), soy, cow, chicken and pig as well as a few fruits and nuts she has been shown to be sensitive to. She is avoiding high mercury containing fish and she is trying to buy mostly pesticide free fruits and veggies. She eats no fast food and little processed food. (Come to think of it, I’m not sure what she eats?!) She does yoga 3-5 times/week and walks everyday. She is receiving acupuncture, massage a few times per year and has seen a naturopath. As far as I can tell she takes every supplement every made. I have not gone through them all to see what types or dosages she has. Of course I have recommended adjusting and explained the neurology to her. She asked me to send out a request for any other suggestions. Thanks ahead of time.
