Guest guest
cavalry are coming! In case my last post was too gloomy, the same 'google alert' that drew Jean 's letter to my attention, also included an NHS London news alert, promising another 100 heath visitors in the summer, as a result of 77 students due to qualify and 30 return to practice places. It also promises another 100 places for the forthcoming year, with an interesting mix of standard and so-called 'fast-track' places (i.e., 4 year training to be an nurse then a health visitor for nursery nurses, and 3 year training, likewise, for graduates from other subject ares to train as a nurse in 2 years, then one year as a health visitor. Let's hope other areas have similar plans and numbers coming on stream, and that these newcomers do all get employed, and supported in posts so they stay. http://www.london.nhs.uk/news-and-health-issues/press-releases/2010-press-re leases/hundred-more-health-visitors-for-the-capital <http://www.london.nhs.uk/news-and-health-issues/press-releases/2010-press-r eleases/hundred-more-health-visitors-for-the-capital> best wishes Cowley sarahcowley183@... <mailto:sarahcowley183@...> http://myprofile.cos.com/S124021COn <http://myprofile.cos.com/S124021COn> No virus found in this incoming message.
