Guest guest
Basically you open the program and click each of the buttons on the right side of the screen from top down. The folder selections include a number of preset protocols you can choose. Are you successful in getting the BrainMaster installed on your computer so that, when you log in and turn it on you can see signals? Be a little more specific about the problems you are having and what you are able to do, and someone here will be able to help you. Guest guest
Here are my problems so far.. I open the program by selecting Brainmaster 2.0 Icon. Setup/home screen opens. I select Login to BM, login screen opens and I enter my Passkey and hit OK. Setup/home screen reappears. I select folder selection, select trainee /study folder opens. Create Folder is grayed out. If I select a already created folder and hit Next session the Trainscreen opens. I hit Data and select com port then hit go then Master screen opens and looks for the Module and comes back and says Not responding. When I use the 1.9A software it finds the module and everything seems to work but I cant make any sense on how to use it and set the proper protocols for ADD feedback. > > > > Basically you open the program and click each of the buttons on > the right side of the screen from top down. Guest guest
Isnt that what the Passkey is for? > > Okay, it is likely that you got a 2.0 version that is not " clinically unlocked " . That means you have to find a clinician with a 2.0 brainmaster and pay that person to provide you with a protocol, and you may or may not have to buy individual minutes of training. This is a system BMer went to with 2.0, I guess so they could continue to sell units to home users without risking problems with the FDA. > > By far your best and cheapest option, unless you have an amenable clinician near you with whom you feel comfortable, is to buy BioExplorer ($383 on the brain-trainer website), which will replace both your 1.9A and 2.0SE software and completely unlock your unit. It will also allow you to use a lot of feedback options that are only available on BrainMaster's 2.5 software, which is much better than either of the ones you have, but which will still require an unlock code. I think even the cost of upgrading from 2.0 to 2.5 is greater than the cost of BioExplorer. > > Pete > > > > > From: " matrox5000 " <matrox5000@...> > > Date: 2006/03/08 Wed PM 08:38:09 EST > > > > Subject: Re: BrainMaster 2.E Software setup/Use??? > > > > Here are my problems so far.. > I open the program by selecting Brainmaster 2.0 Icon. > Setup/home screen opens. > I select Login to BM, login screen opens and I enter my Passkey and > hit OK. > Setup/home screen reappears. > I select folder selection, select trainee /study folder opens. > Create Folder is grayed out. > If I select a already created folder and hit Next session the > Trainscreen opens. Guest guest
Actually I think my problem is more basic. I dont think I am getting a true signal between the com port and the module. Now that I have had some time to sit down with it I think that is the first problem to resolve. I have tried the module on 2 separate PCs. When I do srecord and select com1 and Go, it comes back and says checking module on com1 and comes back and sits at the selected folder as if ready for use with no errors. Because it did that I assumed it was communicating properly, but if I totally disconnect the module I get the same thing (checking moduel on com1). If I select any other port I get an error. Like I said I get the same results on 2 different machines. No way do I have bad ports on 2 machines. I also noticed that when I pull the cable out real slow from he PC side..on both machine I will get a few glitches of noise on the screen, so I thought maybe I have a bad cable so I went out and bought a new one but I get the same exact results with the new cable on both mchines. Any ideas what going on? > > Basically you open the program and click each of the buttons on the right side of the screen from top down. Guest guest
I tried contacting Brainmaster at least 6 times last week, and left numerous messages for assistance. They never got back to me. I guess I am dead in the water. > > Best thing is probably to contact Brainmaster directly and ask for their help. If you are getting this result on multiple PC's, then it is probably the unit. > > Pete > > > > > From: " matrox5000 " <matrox5000@...> > > Date: 2006/03/11 Sat PM 09:16:16 EST > > > > Subject: Re: BrainMaster 2.E Software setup/Use??? > > > > >
Guest guest
OK thanks, I just shot him an email. Are these things expensive to repair? > > > > Best thing is probably to contact Brainmaster directly and ask for > their help. Guest guest
Yes the problem was low battery. He said it takes about 4 or 5 days of charging to bring back to life. > > I got an e-mail from Bill yesterday (which I answered with a cc to you). He didn't know a name or serial number for your BrainMaster, and I couldn't help him with that. Hopefully you've made contact by now. > > Pete > > > > > From: " matrox5000 " <matrox5000@...> > > Date: 2006/03/13 Mon PM 10:21:18 EST > > > > Subject: Re: BrainMaster 2.E Software setup/Use??? > > > > >
