Mark,

It seems you don’t

have the file ‘tlc with optional sites3.xls’ loaded in excel

automatically. Mine is located also in c:\program files\microsoft office\office\xlstart.

But I heard of variances. At least this ‘tlc with optional

sites3.xls’ must be in a XLSTART-directory.

If this is the case and

loaded in excel, you will have more macro’s (not just auto_open).

The one connected with the

clear-button is : ‘tlc with optional sites3.xls’ init.

Dear All

I thought I had the above operating. However today when I

right clicked on clear to assign macro the following screen appeared.

Help appreciated.

Thanks Dianne

I have checked and the appropriate file is in the XLstart folder and all the relevant macros show up there.

Marc,

What happens if you open

the ‘tlc with optional sites3.xls’ manually (with file –

Open) and try to do the same ? Do you have more Macros then ?

I can open within XLstart and get the following opening within XLstart but the assess folder does not open.

I went further and assess template then opens within Xyster. I decided not to go any.

Mark

You will notice no macro name comes up and I don't know if it should.

Mark,

I had a similar problem (before the latest version of the assessment) with the artifacter. I could not get the macro to run or see it in the macro list. I solved it by actually opening the macro file and then opening the assessment. Now the macro file automatically opens every time I open Excel, but the artifacter works. Pete insists the macro should just stay in the background and I've done something wrong, but that was the only way I could get it to work.

Diane, would Kris have anything helpful to say about this?

Mark,

You’re close to

solve the problem. (if we don’t encounter another one)

The reason you don’t

see the macro’s as you posted the problem, is that they are NOT loaded by

the XLstart-directory. If you manually open the file, you can see all the

macros. So you must be somebody who has a variation of MS office start-up

directory for excel. Post your operation system and office version

here. I’m sure somebody will have the same and can help you with

the correct path. At least it’s a directory ‘XLstart’.

Maybe you can look for another one on your hard drive(s) too and try it. If

loaded it must look like your second screenshot. As Foxx says, it’s

better to solve this first.

If you can not solve this

or you can’t wait, you can also do it differently.

Open the ‘TLC with

optional sites.xls’ as you did before. (The file looks empty but

isn’t at all.) Then link the 3 buttons with the correct macros.

(This is also posted

before) Right click on the button and assign the macro’s. Link

‘clear data’ with the macro ending with ‘init’; ‘perform

assessment’ with ending assessment.assessment and the ‘save’

button with the macro ending with save.assess. (I can see 2 of them

already in your screenshot)

This should work too but

has some disadvantages.

If it’s not clear,

ask me again. I’m often too short with explanations.

Regards,

Kris (Belgium)

Dianne Kris and Foxx

Thank you for pushing me towards a solution. My solution has been to open both the macro and assessment within XLstart to assign the buttons and then to save this as a template in a folder outside of XLstart.

Hi Pete

Found two. One with an earlier TLC with optional sites. Is it possible to set up a choice between the latest TLC assess and the one you gave us in last training in Sydney which uses TLC.axles.

Thanks

Mark

Re: RE: loading TLc pro consult assess

Search for XLStart on your C drive. If you find multiple ones, place the macro file in each. Pete
