Guest guest
Anyone who has parrots should sprout some unhulled sunflower seeds and see if your birds like them. Out of my flock, so far only 35 year old Gyro the Senegal Parrot tried and liked them. She was wild caught (not by me and now against the law), so perhaps she remembers seeing sprouting seeds in the wild and eating them. Now that the other birds have seen her eat them, they will probably give them a try. Or, if I eat them too, they are more likely to want some. Especially if I eat them with Gyro. The rest of the flock (parrots, lories, finch, and canaries) like other kinds of sprouts, but I thought sunflower seed sprouts would be an instant hit. Not yet, but I will keep trying. n Rollings, PhD NJ Licensed Psychologist #4686 www.DrnRollings.com Until we have the courage to recognize cruelty for what it is--whether its victim is human or animal--we cannot expect things to be much better in this world... We cannot have peace among men whose hearts delight in killing any living creature. By every act that glorifies or even tolerates such moronic delight in killing we set back the progress of humanity.
