Guest guest
Hi I would like to get a subscription to a cooking magazine to add some variety to our life. Anyone have a suggestion that is somewhat in line with WAP/NT? Thanks, h
Guest guest
h, I don't have an answer for you other than that someone should start one! Maybe called Traditional Foods??? Kathy

Guest guest
Judy and h, I was a subscriber to Cook's for many years and enjoyed the magazine until I received more renewal notices and ads for books etc.than I did magazines. I would renew for 3 years and within 6 months I would get another renewal notice (which, by the way, would not point out that I still had 2 1/2 years to go, rather would make it look like I was on my last issue). They did not seem to be able to stop this marketing machine (I think they contract it out) so I finally just stopped taking the magazine. I still occasionally buy one in a bookstore or grocery store. (So h, you've been forewarned!) Kathy
Guest guest
I really like Cooks, too, but I always buy it at the store because the subscription copy didn't come until a week or so after the new issue appeared on the newstand. __________________________________________________
Guest guest
This is exactly why I discontinued my membership with Prevention years ago.... and I just took E-Magazine to task for sending me FOUR notices plus another mail notice explaining why they send all those notices. I mean.... doesn't that kind of misuse of resources fly in the face of their very mission? I ask you! I cancelled my subscription and told them in no uncertain terms exactly why! We must all do the same. I don't care about the automatic notification system. Take me off it now! Or lose a customer. Period. Grin. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ > I was a subscriber to Cook's for many years and enjoyed the magazine > until I received more renewal notices and ads for books etc.than I did > magazines. Guest guest
Have you looked at NT-recipes? It's another group with NT recipe sharing at it's heart and a good deal of exchange on NT make-over of recipes. NT-recipes/ Jan

Guest guest
I like Bon Appetit and Gourmet, thought of getting their subscriptions myself (Gourmet I like best). Besides the dessert recipes they're fairly compatible, and they're often based on traditional cuisines. Whenever something's low-fat I just add more fat! fina.
