A sneak preview of the August 12 swap

I am enormously pleased to be able to report that a presentation is

planned for our swap on Saturday August 12, 2006. If you receive the

WAPF publication Wise Traditions, you may remember the Spring 2006

issue contained an article by chef and food activist Prentice.

is the author of the just-released " Full Moon Feast " and

writer of the monthly " Stirring the Cauldron " essays on cooking and

the spiritual and practical meanings of making real, traditional food

at home.

I met at the Wise Traditions Conference in Virginia last fall

and found that she was receptive to visiting the Twin Cities while on

a lecture tour. Between her publicist and me, we were able to find

additional venues for her to speak while in town, thereby making the

Twin Cities a worthwhile stop on the tour. If you can't make it to

the August swap, you might be able to catch elsewhere in our area.

Please visit her website to get more information:

http://www.stirringthecauldron.com/

This is a link to a blurb about her book:

http://www.wisefoodways.com/moons/ The publisher is Chelsea Green,

also the publisher of books like " Wild Fermentation. "

I expect that her book will be available for purchase at the swap, so

if this interests you, you may want to plan on buying it from her

directly.

More details to come. Save the date: August 12th, 11a - 2:30pm at the

North Mississippi Regional Park (same location as May).
