Guest guest
Hi all, I was out in Western Minnesota last weekend visiting my boyfriend's family and just wanted to put a good word in for a lovely organic farm I visited out there. It is called Earthrise Farm and is run by Benedictine nuns and a few interns. The closest town is Madison, MN. They have chickens, herbs, vegetables, a meditation labrynth and a fabulous yurt (round dwelling) that visitors are welcome to stay in. The sisters that run the place are incredibly generous and kind. I bought about 6 dozen eggs from them and the quality is just about the best I've ever seen, vibrant orange-yellow yolks. That's to be expected, since their chickens run about everywhere underfoot, eating plants, bugs, and organic grains and flax. You can read more about Earthrise at: http://www.ssndmankato.org/pg_community.htm Cheers, --------------------------------- Sneak preview the all-new .com. It's not radically different. Just radically better.
