ANSWERS (According to Dr Mercola------ Not that everything on this site is true, it isn't and they don't claim to know everything. No one does. He recommends looking at all this as a " learning journey " . Both heart attack and cancer were virtually non-existent 100 years ago. About 40-50 years ago heart attacks soared to the leading diagnosis for death of Americans. Rates for most types of cancer are skyrocketing. Thes trends mirror the increase in trans fats, sugar consumption, obesity, aspartame consumption and the processing of foods. 2) Actually, the cause behind the majority of deaths is " death by doctor " . You could also be more kind and call it " The Conventional Medical Paradigm " . This has been reported in many medical journals. It includes such things as mistakes and drug reactions (4 billion prescriptions per year!!). Cod Liver Oil is also good, but only certain brands are safe (you can also overdose on diet-based D). Adults need 4000 iu daily. SUNSHINE DOES NOT CAUSE CANCER, in fact 50,000 cancer deaths a year are due to avoiding sun. The cancers, especially melanomas, are caused by distorted omega 6:3 ratios. Never get sunburned and avoid all sunscreens except zinc oxide. 5) FOUR orders of French fries a week (horribly high in trans fats) and possibly the worst dietary disaster junk food ever-should not be eaten. 600 cans of soda a year! And on the rise. This is over 50 gallons of a " food " that has zero redeeming qualities and destroys health, plus it's addictive. 6) ASPARTAME. They were after Searle Corp but the politicians quashed the investigation. Two FDA officials became executives at Searle! Researchers had covered cancer findings in animals, hidden bad results and worse. They lied. Then Rumsfield became CEO. He's still on the board! He is also on the board of the company that makes Tamiflu!! No wonder the government is stockpiling this virtually worthless drug. 7) Only REVERSE OSMOSIS takes out the chlorine and the flouride. The chlorine is one of several agents used to kill bacteria in water but it's not good for us (toxic, plus it displaces iodine). The flouride used in drinking water is a serious toxin and really doesn't prevent tooth decay! 8) HIGH INSULIN! SO, you have to avoid SUGAR if you want to stay healthy. Insulin in excess increases blood pressure, cholesterol, shortens lifespan, impairs the immune system, it also creates food cravings and makes it impossible to burn fat and lose weight. EXERCISE normalizes insulin. 9) A) Most of the bottles leach toxins and carcinogens. This is especially true if they are reused. The consumption of them is causing vast problems of litter, waste build-up and pollution (500 years or more to decompose) C) Many bottled waters are made by companies like Pepsi and Coke and aren't that great. 10) A shocking 90% of our food is processed! It should be almost the opposite in that we should be eating 90% of our diet RAW. Best to eat raw: eggs, dairy, some meat, liver, nuts, fruits, some vegetables, greens.
