Guest guest
One more thing: this location IS child-friendly. The owner sells organic and non-organic cotton clothing for babies and kids, and these will be available for sale during our gathering. ~Joe
Guest guest
FYI, Edgcumbe is West of 35E. Krista Boos Creative Memories Senior Consultant Memory Keeping at Its Best! Organized Life: Organization Consulting Creating Order from Chaos 952-707-1263 babymonkeytoes@... Swap Event: Saturday, February 18, 2006 Hi everybody! Here's the latest on the swap meet. Date: Saturday, February 18, 2006. Time: 12:00pm - 4:00pm. Potluck around 1:00pm. We can set up as early as 11:00am. Location of the swap (for this date only): Imago Ltd., 1190 Avenue, St. MN 55105. Plenty of parking on the street. Location details: Imago Ltd., is very near the intersection of Randolph Avenue and Edgcumbe Rd., which themselves are just off Highway 35E. If you arrive via 35E, take the Randolph Ave exit and turn left (east) and go about 3 blocks toward Edgcumbe Rd. If you arrive via Highway 94E, you could take the Lexington Ave. exit and go south all the way to Randolph Ave. There's a BP gas station on the corner of Randolph and Edgcumbe. Edgecumbe Rd. is an odd-looking street that's divided by a grassy median. Turn right on Edgcumbe and then left on . Park wherever it's legal. ) The gathering place is the auditorium on the top floor. Signs will direct you. Bathrooms: there is a women's & children's bathroom on the same floor as the auditorium. Guys, I'm sorry, but we must go to the basement. >>>PLEASE READ THESE IMPORTANT NOTES<<<< 1. Accessibility: Imago Ltd. is NOT wheelchair accessible, and DOES NOT have an elevator! (My apologies and regrets for that unfortunate oversight, but planning got started late and we really have no other place to go. People with mobility issues must use their own judgment whether to attend. Those with coolers and boxes of products to bring must realize that a flight of stairs will be the main obstacle they'll face.) 2. Time Change: We have had past swaps at 10am - 2pm, but it will be different today. Since Feb. 18 is the same day as the St. Farmer's Market winter hours (go to www.stpaulfarmersmarket.com for complete details), Therese thought of a way to help our farmers and vendors make best use of their time. We'll shift the time of the swap to a bit later, i.e., 12pm - 4pm. This way, the farmers and vendors who do decide to attend the swap can do so without interrupting their market schedule and can also hopefully make extra money when they drop by our swap. My apologies again for the inaccessiblity of this space. We will most likely not be able to use Imago again in the future for that reason. Let me know if there are questions. ~Joe

Guest guest
> > Joe, > Is it just one flight of stairs?? Or more than one? Well, you climb some steps to get into the building itself, and then you climb one staircase, turn left and climb another staircase, and turn left into the auditorium. ( Someone asked about whether they can buy things. Certainly! Cash, barter or trade are the currency of our swaps. ~Joe

Guest guest
I have forwarded on info from the swap to numerous people. One question I got back was from someone who has a temporary cast or whatever you call it and has a difficult time walking up a lot of stairs. Is there an elevator? Or is it a lot of stairs? Guest guest
> Is there an elevator? Or is it a lot of stairs? I'm sorry to say that this location has NO elevator. The stairs are not steep, but there are a lot of steps, perhaps 20 to the upper level, and a stairway to reach the main door. As I said, time was short in the planning phase and this is the best place I could manage. The April 1st location is on one level and is handicap accessible. ~Joe
