Crave away, I say.

Yes, I even BUY pre-sprouted mustard and broccoli sprouts to pop into the

blender. Store sprouts gotta get a 20 minute bath in Grapefruit Seed Extract,

then, whammo. Sprouts are fresh and have the right nutrients. Easy to

digest, good for the body to use.

I live on the border of Amish farm country. The local stores have a " local "

wheat berry and it really is powerful after 2 days of soaking/sprouting once

you make a blender " milk " out of some of those wheat seeds. I did a

comparison today. I'm used to just throwing a small handful of wheats into the

Vita

Mix with other things. But from now on, I'm doing a beverage with the

sprouted wheat berries. The farmers' are much better than the store wheat

berries. If you can get locals, try a comparison. I also use the GSE

(grapefruit

seed extract) on these.

Bon appetit, mes amis.

ps -- Kim, we are just are prone to a little light banter, I think mostly is

what you have detected. I wish I were sprouting " whats " however, I do, heh,

heh . . .

I'm a new member as well. I'm interested in reading replies to this question.

In the meantime, this is how I've been choosing which seeds are safe to sprout.

If they are offered for sale on a reliable sprouting web site, I figure it's

safe.

One thing I've noticed. Once I started eating my very first sprouts (only about

eight weeks ago), it was like I started craving them (ANY of them) like crazy.

All day long, I'm sitting at work just craving sprouts. Have any of the other

new sprouters experienced this?

Terri:

I have noticed a similar phenomenon RE: wanting sprout to eat now. I have

staged my growing so that there are always some that are about ready to eat,

juice, etc.

Bob

I'm a new sprouter and I crave anything that gives me more energy... I have

an idea for a cereal.. Lightly toast sprouted wheat berries at 200 degrees for

10 minutes. Place in a container. Pour into a bowl w/ milk for breakfast.

Does anyone think this a good idea?.. Should I keep them refrigerated or

would they stay good on the shelf? So many questions! Like a puppy let loose

onto a meadow in April... with lots of other little puppies too... chasing

eachother and wagging their tails... that happy-frantic look in their eye.

excitement. ;)
