Guest guest
Celia, This post was obviously meant as a sales pitch. But, as you said, it may have been well-intentioned. I just wonder why you attacked the previous post, which did not actually try to sell anything, but did comment on the value of sprouts. I think you made a rather quick judgement based on some personal bias without actually having read the other post completely. I think if you had read the entire post you would have realized that no attempt was made to sell something in that post. Also, if you have some information on Vit B-17 or laetril, it would have been more appropriate for you to post that information for us to read. I prefer to hear both sides of a story before I make a decision. I'd be interested in what information you have on laetril, even though I would not take it or any other manmade vitamin or drug. I prefer to get my nutrition from natural foods--which I believe the writer was suggesting we were doing be eating sprouts. Guest guest
Just a quick reply so that you do not think I am ignoring you, but yes, the other post was clearly a sales pitch, and as it was so obvious, I felt most folks could see that for themselves. No need for me to comment on it. As I said in the previous post, I was afraid that was using what I consider to be an under-handed sales technique, hence my knee-jerk reaction. It was inappropriate for me to attack her as an individual as I don't know her personally and I yes, I *did* make assumptions. (Lumped her with the bad guys.) I know when to take my lumps! Please folks, if there is anything you would like to say to me personally, please do it off-list and I would be happy to reply. I am NOT trying to duck out, but the members of this list don't deserve to have their in-boxes filled with all this stuff, and I'm sure they would like the list to go back to what it is intended-- discussing sprouts! Guest guest
Aloha everyone, Hope that this letter finds you all well. I am real new at this so I apologize I do not no how to email anyone specifically, I am just replying to one of the comments of my post. I just wanted to comment back because of all these emails I received about spam and my email being referred to as a " sales pitch. " I guess in some sense of the word it is, as this does have to do with my business and I am currently looking for interested people all over the world. However I didn't mean it to appear as spam or like I am trying to JUST sell another product. I grew up in a family that was what most would think " health conscious " , my mom and dad are practically organic vegans and although I am only 22, I have been around a lot of great information that I feel lucky to have been exposed. However I had no idea that some of the chemicals that we think aren't that bad in some of the products we use (believing they are organic and " natural " ) are really not natural and quite harmful. I am excited to be a part of ONE Group and share a whole new idea of business and personal care products. When looking for groups it first came to me as a great way to find like-minded people who were interested in similar things. I grew up in Hawaii growing many different types of sprouts and throughout high school (as a part time job) we would take care of sprouts and sell them at a weekly local market. I just thought it would be a place to share MiEssence products, as many people would be already interested with organics and jump at the 1st certified range of personal care products. One thing I am sure of, my intentions were only the best and I have seen these products change a lot of peoples lives, stop eczema in children, and do a lot of great things for people and the earth. I am not involved with ONE Group because I am trying to rip anyone off or make myself rich (I am studying to be a environmental lawyer and I work with investment property with my family business). I am passionate about sharing because I know what good we could all do as ONE Group dedicated to an organic transition worldwide. I am involved because I feel that I am making a lasting difference in the world. Sounded crazy to me at first, I'm making a difference by selling deodorant, geee's what's next. It was after I understood that every single thing we buy makes such a difference and gives someone power, that I understood how powerful supporting ethical company's could really be. All the money sold from Miessence products (that are GOOD for you) goes to a company dedicated to making a difference in the world and turns the profits around to do just that. If those company's making all these bad chemicals were to go out of business those chemicals would never waste the energy being made and all the side effects wouldn't be here either. (I'm rambbling on) I just wanted to apologize for appearing as spam and irritating you. I am surprised as I thought more people would write back really interested actually, certified organic makeup, deodorant, toothpaste, I was! Again I am sorry if I offended you regarding my post, I will never mention it again. I hope you all have a wonderful day & keep eating lots of sprouts. =) Mahalo ********************************************************************************\ ******** It is a medically recognized fact that our body absorbs significant amounts of what we put on our skin. Guest guest
Then why don't you run this type of material by the webmaster, if you aren't sure? It's better business practice, at the very least. I hope you consider this a learning experience, and grow from there. Remember, first impressions can make a reputation. Guest guest
Fern, Advertising one's products or services can be a real touchy subject on e-mail lists, and many groups strictly prohibit it. Any reference to or links to one's company, product, or services (even in headers, footers or signatures) are grounds for ejection from the more restrictive lists. I'm not sure what the policy is on this list, but in the future, you may want to inquire of the list owner or moderator before doing so. There are some lists that do welcome personal advertising... Sincerely, --Celia-- Re: Organic? Or just made of Carbon? Aloha everyone, Hope that this letter finds you all well.
