Guest guest
Phil Have you sustained torn ligaments, tendons or cartilage in your back, neck, jaw and shoulders? If so, then Prolotherapy can dramatically speed up the healing process. These tissues normally heal very slowly, due to poor blood flow to them. Prolotherapy can speed up the healing process exponentially. See recent archives on this forum where this was a topic, or just do an internet search for prolotherapy. Guest guest
I found a good acupuncturist who studied Chinese medicine and he has done wonders for me...I had back pain and he helped me tremendously. You have to find someone who is good with it. It is wonderful for eliminating pain....I also find it very relaxing.
Guest guest
Hi Phil, If you would go to a health food store and get a homeopathic remedy called Tramped which contains arnica you can take this remedy which is indicated for all traumas. They have creams and pellets which go under the tongue. Also bromelian which is an enzyme can help with reducing inflammation promoting healing. They may also have some Chinese herbs for trauma as well. These can all be used together with out problems. Does you DC use nutrition? If so, s/he may be of help with nutritional to heal the muscle and tissues. I would use Ligaplex I and if you have had a head injury I would add Neurotrophin PMG. Check out my web site for information on these two and other products. Guest guest
Hi Phil, What is the chiropractor doing? When my daughter was in an accident the one she went to (paid by the driver's insurance) used a large contraption with strings to check how far things were disaligned. Maybe knows something about that type of thing. J.
Guest guest
Hi, Phil - I was in a 4-car smash-up last October so have been dealing with many of the same things. My PT/chiro/rehab person also stressed homeopathic Arnica for muscles, Hypericum for nerve damage, and Omega 3's and 6's for systemic anti-inflammatory effect (I take this via Flax Seed Oil). He also recommended Traumed Gel for local anti-inflammatory effect where I was worst injured, and I've found that an inexpensive drugstore magnet back-belt has helped a lot. Acupuncture has also helped with the pain and depression. Wishing you all the best (me, too), Noelle > Date: Wed, 31 Jan 2001 19:12:20 -0800 > From: Phil Comer <philcome@...> > Subject: Accident care > > I was rear ended last week;was hit by a drive going 45-50 mph and he hit > me full speed while I was waiting to make a turn. Guest guest
Do you know anyone who gives sound therapy? Try to locate one and have a session. Besides that - magnets, of course, but they do work over time, not immediately. Ronen. Accident care I was rear ended last week;was hit by a drive going 45-50 mph and he hit me full speed while I was waiting to make a turn. I'm seeing a chiropractor, getting Pt and my dentist is working on my TMJ problems that have been exacerbated. Does anyone know of any " natural " adjuncts to help the body heal? My back, neck jaw and shoulders are quite painful. I am trying peroxide epsom salt baths and my dentist has me taking magnesium to help relax the muscles. Guest guest
Phil, A FIR (far infra-red) lamp will make a believer out of you in one 60 minute treatment. If you don't have access to one or can't afford the $250 then never underestimate sunshine. If it is warm where you are get 40 minutes daily (minimum) of sun WITHOUT sunscreen. You don't need sunscreen if you build up to your exposure. 30-40 minutes a day doesn't require protection. The sun heals naturally. At least 23 known cell responses -- some for repair -- are triggered by FIR alone, and the sun has even more! Remember that " happy-to-the-bone " feeling of lying in the sun? That is a healing feeling! jim Phil Comer wrote: > > I was rear ended last week;was hit by a drive going 45-50 mph and he hit > me full speed while I was waiting to make a turn. Guest guest
Bromelain between meals helps with pain and inflammation. Products put out by NESS, #6 and #14 might be helpful too. This company is available through chiropractors. Ice packs are excellent if applied properly to speed healing. Ask your chiropractor. If he is a good one, he'll know how to instruct you. jp I was rear ended last week;was hit by a drive going 45-50 mph and he hit me full speed while I was waiting to make a turn.
